Yes, the Bobby Jones clubs are "pyratone", meaning they're steel shafted with an overlay (plastic I think) to appear like hickory. Were popular in the 1930s during the transition from hickory to steel shafts.

I agree they are "pyratone", when in doubt carry a magnet. Regardless they are still fun to hit I have some pyratones and hickory shafts. It's best to hit low compression balls with those and hickory clubs.

I bought a set of Wilson hickory shaft clubs from the 1920's at Goodwill for $16.00. Played with them once - love them, included the driver, too.

The Bobby Jones Irons could be from the early 1930's....as they had a steel shaft with a rubber/plastic type coating over the steel that was made to look like a hickory shaft, as golfers didn't believe that a steel shaft wouldn't work. You should be able to tell just by touching the shafts, as they won't feel like a hickory shaft. They were are great find, as they are getting harder to find.

Last year I finally gave away a full set of Wilson Staff fg-17 irons (only the 5 was mismatched) - I bought them used in ‘83 - break my heart and tell me they were worth something hah! - you guys are fun to watch!

We had a Starter outlet in Jackson, NJ back in the day and I remember buying about 50 or so practice hockey jerseys there for like 5 bucks each. Miss that store. Always wanted a Starter jacket but went with logo athletic one and what a let down lol

For some reason, I thought that the TMNT were really cool, so I bought the original figures the first year they came out (1988). I still have all 4 of them including their weapons. I also have a larger Donatello (about 15 inches tall). I've never seen a life size figure, so that was really awesome (kind of a bummer that he didn't have the katana swords). Great video as always!
