Horrible pay-out rate, but they really did have some cute prizes! One of my favorite things about the two of you is that you guys don't get seriously mad at not winning. I’ve owned claw and vending machines in the past and my machine with plushies wasn’t a wicked high payout rate but I would make about $5 per plushie. So I wasn’t giving them away, but I wasn’t making a killing either lol. But ya, the carnival payout rate is about $100 per plushie.

Those elaut claws have both a randomized payout and a payout by numbers of plays. So if you're lucky you can hit the randomized payout, if you're not you have to play until you hit payout by numbers (which can be quite expensive). And those machines didn't look like anybody played them before.

As soon as I realized they were playing carnival claw machines, I immediately skipped to the end because I already knew they won absolutely nothing. They should have spent that $35 on Bottle Up. My grandfather used to own hundreds of these claw machines. There is a setting on how hard the cmaw grabs. My grandpa would always keep his turned up quite abit because he wanted people to win consistently. A whole machine worth of toys cost him about $7-10.

The prizes in these machines looked neatly packed in a pattern which made me wonder if anyone ever won anything! It a shame when a machine does a good grab and then at a certain point loses it’s grip completely. That to me is an outright cheat I could imagine the owner sitting inside rubbing his Hans with glee ad he or she slowly parted you and your money. 🤮
