Clayton Grimm recently portrayed Blippi in a new video and it appears to be a deliberate move to make kids and parents more comfortable with seeing someone other than Stevin John in the role of Blippi.

My 2 year old son noticed immediately when I accidentally played a video with the new guy. My kid was staring with a perplexed look on his face the whole time. And he NEVER does that he usually sings or plays along but this time he was glued to the screen like he was trying to solve a crime scene.

I didn't notice since I got into Blippi this past year & soley watched old vids & the tv show w/out the new actor, but I went to check his channel recently & noticed two videos. I sat there for a solid minute looking at both Blippi's thinking "these two aren't the same Blippi..." I couldn't shake the fact they had subtle facial differences and even voice differences. I thought it was just me but when I searched "two different Blippi's" I found this and was confirmed right! As far as the new actor is concerned, if you're not like me & don't notice these subtle differences right away you might enjoy him like normal unless someone points it out. I just can't shake the feeling of me preferring the old one, sadly. Granted I don't watch Blippi like I used to but I'm happy it's still being kept up with in case I do decide to go back every now and then, even if it's not with the same guy as much :)

My kid did not notice. When I asked him who he was watching, he said it was Blippi. I think only grown ups are having a little trouble accepting that there is another blippi because they got themselves attatched by the original blippi. By the way, my child is 4 years old. As long as he sees the blippi that wears same clothes and acts the same way, it would always be blippi for him.

I’ve acted in theatre and appreciate the arts. Clayton is awesome; he got hired to do this and is phenomenal as Blippi. I simply told my kids two actors play him. Simple as that and they love watching the episodes. I don’t want my kids growing up thinking everything has to be the way they expect it to be; I want them to learn about differences and the unexpected and deal and understand. The Batman movies have different actors. Disney shows have different actors. Stevin John has a franchise now and can’t be everywhere at once as Blippi; oh my word-it hurts and is embarrassing how parents have been so bratty about this. We want our kids to be kind and understanding toward others, but if all it takes is a different actor to in a kid’s show to bring out the worst of attitudes, then that says a lot about the maturity level of some parents. Good for Clayton for carrying on despite all of it. Imagine if you were hired to do something you were good at and wanted to bring joy and laughter. Then a bunch of strangers watching you just start hurling discouraging remarks over doing your job well, simply because you weren’t the original actor. Is it Clayton’s fault? How would you feel if that was your child at school? Please, he’s a human with feelings. Give him a break and show your kids how we should treat other humans. Stop the bullying and be a kind adult, leaving the world a better place after being the better example. 👍

My 3 years old noticed that blippi is changed. He told me because original blippi is very good in dancing and very playful. At first also me ,we're both sad about it. But the new blippi is not bad at all.

My little boys (2-4) haven't noticed, or rather haven't complained yet. They still eat it up. I was wondering if you could touch on a trend I have noticed in regards to dislikes 👎 on every blippi video. Its absolutely unreal how many dislikes each of his vids get, to a suspicious degree. He gets approximately 8k likes, to 4k dislikes on each vid. My problem is this, are people just showing up to dislike EVERY video he does? Wouldn't they loose interest after a while. I know some people had a problem with him not being on tour, and some had a problem with his escapades before Blippi, but time has passed and people still tune in to dislike? I dont go to jaz vids to dislike them in my free time, so why would people hate watch blippi? Are parents to blame? Again my kids LOVE blippi, and he has brought them countless hours of joy, so why would I ever dislike ANY of his vids, it would be like stabbing my kids in the back lol

lol...I love the idea of doing a video to address those who Hate on Blippi. I'm definitely going to do that, maybe as early as this week. I'm glad your kids have noticed or complained. According to some parents on here some kids are losing their minds. My 2yo is like yours. Doesn't seem to notice or care. 5 is kind of over Blippi so he definitely doesn't care. lol

this is interesting to me cause my son and I are almost twins .. ALLLLLmost lol, but we both have youtube channels where we do basically the same thing, I am That Nate Guy, and he is That Other Nate Guy, and all the time parents tell us they turn on his videos and their little kids are like, "I wanna watch the REAL Nate Guy" LOL!
