Reading The Martian Chronicles, by Ray Bradbury. A guy in one story, Walter Gripp listens to this. Figured I'd check it out.

I also found out about it by reading a book. But it was Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut

For me it was a collection of Krazy Kat strips.

Nostalgic but nice song. I love when they sing "Sweet Adeline". Thanks

This song was playing on Mars in a distant empty house while the crew was trying to figure out why Mars looked so much like their childhood home back in Ohio.

This was playing in a lonely town on Mars after everybody left to go back to Earth and one man named Walter Gripp was left all alone to wander the streets by himself.

I like how you include images of the quartet just at the right moment. I have this by the Shannon Quartet on Columbia. Mine also includes a chorus of "Sweet Adeline" but then adds in a chorus of "I've Been Working on the Railroad."

Each version on KZbin is slightly different. It seems to have been a song that was open to interpretation!

A very nice selection of quaint photos! I like the photo at 2:01...her hat and dress seem so "early-20's" Very classic. The girl at 2:09 portrays a feeling of innocence(although who knows if it's real or affected?)The dress at 2:17 reminds me of something Olive Oyle from the "Popeye" cartoons might wear. The plaid dress at 2:28 is rather ugly (if you don't mind me saying so :)) ...but different. Sorry for the fashion review, I couldn't resist. Nice work!

How exciting! There seem to be many variations. This was includes Sweet Adeline, but others include something else.
