My first ever DS game. Honestly despite the unfair difficulty, I loved this game. I just wish it wasnt so damn slow. Fights and moving around on the board takes forever.

I truly thought I was the only kid that played this me and my brother would link up our dss and use all the super sayings and piccolo and play for a while, I dnt think I finished the game was stuck at king Kai’s place against raditz 😂😂

Isn't this the game where Goku SSJ's special moves still uses Goku's normal sprites for the attacks?

Kinda reminds me of the Dragon Ball Barcode Battler I bought off a friend who found it while scourin' a store in Japan. Also got a Famicom Datach thing with a DBZ game on a lil cart, buuut no cards for it. Tis also funky though, ended up gettin' Sean Schemmel to sign it and he thought it was a bit funky too haha.

I never forgot this game! It was my comfort game as a kid you could day haha. One day I lost my cartridge due to family situations but I've always kept the game on my phone to play via emulators. I wish people made more videos on the vs mode portion of the game. One day I wanna get a couple ds' and copies of it to finally experience that

Played the game when I was young , I stopped playing after I didn't have enough steps to move gohan so that he can reflect the spirit bomb onto vegeta , that was just cruel, vegeta was so hard to fight as well

Oh, I remember this! I had a lot of fun with it! It reminded me a lot of the older, Japan-only titles. I don't know if I would call it a kusoge, although I was a kid back then, so maybe it's the rose-tinted glasses painting my memory here. That being said, I'd love if you looked into "Legendary Super Warriors"!

@@Lucas-Fair I was actually surprised to see some Japanese fans call it a shit game, but given it's somewhat a step down from the NES and SNES titles I think I can understand why. It improves the presentation in some areas but then also downgrades in others. Also yea I definitely want to do a video on the GB/GBC games eventually!

@@GoldenPSP Yeah, me too! But I suppose with those flaws, it makes some sense. Especially with the aforementioned overall slowness of the entire game, but even so, I still found it nice back then, personally. Nice! I'm looking forward to seeing it. Interestingly both the US and European title omitted different parts of the full Japanese title "Harukanaru Goku Densetsu" 遥かなる悟空伝説 US shortened it to "Harukanaru Densetsu" Europe shortened it to "Goku Densetsu" That being said, I agree the names are dumb. For the Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi series (simply called "Dragon Ball Z" and "Sparking" series respectively in Japan) the Japanese-sounding titles still kinda made sense since "Tenka'ichi Budokai" 天下一武道会 is the name of the tournaments in Dragon Ball. Words like "Harukanaru" and "Densetsu" on the other hand are completely foreign to the majority of the western audience

I used to borrow this game from my cousin and play the hell out of this! The score is so good and i love all of the easter eggs in things like the Assist cards. Getting a ChiChi or Roshi card off might have not did alot of damage but it sure looked cool😂

This game is kinda unfairly hard to be fair. Even if you grind hard, you're still at the mercy of the random draw and the CPU can theoretically never let you attack

I guess they thought they had stuck gold by giving the PS2 games more Japanese sounding titles. But I think you have to do better than that if you want to sell a card game to casual fans.

It's werid how worst the newest one was compared to the older ones. Their energy blast is just some random pictures of the cast. Some of them aren't even in their energy blast pose 😂 an energy blast coming from tien chest.

@@DragonBall-Manga-1984 I not exactly the most exciting game to play, even by Card RPG standards but I think it's a step above some really terrible Dragon Ball games like Final Bout or Taiketsu.
