The last level of Lego Star Wars 3 where you have to break every one of your cannons and stuff to make 1 specific one, and the game doesn't explain it to you.

So similarly to you, I also fell in love with Metroid Prime upon its release last year. Unique experience where while I was playing it I actively went “yeah this is objectively one of the greatest games ever made.” With that said, one very tiny part was infuriating. I don’t remember where it’s located, but at one point you have to do this extremely long antigravity morph ball platforming section, and if you make the smallest mistake you fall off and have to start from the very beginning again, despite it already taking like 4-5 minutes to complete with zero mistakes. If you know the part I’m talking about that means you also probably felt my pain ☠️

Are you talking about the half pipe in the Furnace room? I remember that part being really fucking annoying too.

Honestly, my „part“ in Metroid Prime is just… all the walking around, man… the amount of traveling you need to do for the 100% is just excruciating. Shortcuts were NOT at the top of Nintendos check list when they made the game
@Gourune10 ай бұрын
I get that a lot. I remember on my first playthrough I tried getting all the collectables but gave up cuz of the backtracking. It got better after repeated playthroughs, but I don't think I'm ever gonna try to do 100% completion on a game I'm playing for the first time.

Some examples I think of as "that part" in games I religiously replay Interloper from Half Life, specifically the first part cause I don't mind the factory all that much The Library from Halo CE The Red Forest from Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl Escape! from Thief the Dark Project The final level of System Shock 2 The rest of F.E.A.R. after you kill Paxton Fettel Rainbow Ride in Mario 64 Alot of the nightmare sections in Max Payne The hospital level from Hotline Miami The Bed of Chaos fight from Dark Souls The Black Gulch in Dark Souls 2 The Oracle from Halo 2 Cortano from Halo 3 The whole flight school section of San Andreas is probably the best example of a "that part"

I've lost track on how many times I've been recommended Hotline Miami, but I'll keep the hospital in mind when I "eventually" get to it.

I played minecraft exclusively as a kid for *years* its a wonder it took me so long to get burnt out but when they where bought by microsoft and the updates started getting more lacking it really just set in how I had really had my fill of that particular game.

Playing Tomb Raider 2 again currently and the game just takes a nosedive in level design once you reach the Tibet mountains. Unless I'm determined to reach the end of the game, those massive levels are where I lose interest.
