As the author of the Manga himself was a volleyball player in highschool in Japan, he probably had a lot of reference lol (also fun fact the little giant is supposed to be the author of the Manga)

Haikyuu is just the bestest thing ever. It's so wholesome and heartwarming 💕. And so relatable like so many people could relate when yachi calls herself just a towns person B and feeling like a nobody.

Only noticed it now, but at 9:16 Hinata says the word "Koii" or "Koe" i think? I think she blushed precisely cause it sounds similar to "Koi" which is "love" So meaning it could mean, "I wont waste her love". Maybe thats also why the author made Kageyama say the definition

first off, you did figure ice skating?? that’s so amazing omg! i saw someone else already comment this, but you should definitely watch (/ react if you have the time) yuri on ice! i feel like you’d love it :’) and yachi’s introduction/townsperson b “arc” is so lovely, and her relationship with kiyoko is just so precious. i always get the chills and get a bit emotional when hinata sees that poster of himself in the window 🥲 and i ordered myself a karasuno VB club jacket right after i watched this episode for the first time a few years ago LMAOO that little welcome celebration for yachi was too cute not to

I love that you're reacting to Haikyuu now! It's actually my favorite anime of all time and I don't usually like anything sports related. Part of me selfishly wishes you'd put out a Haikyuu reaction every day but I will just have to be patient 😅

3:20 To be clear, Karasuno and Nekoma don't actually compete against each other. In fact, they have NEVER played against each other in an official match because they're in different prefectures and the only time they could play each other in an official match if they both make it to Nationals tournament and somehow are put in the same bracket. They did both make it to Nationals during Little Giant's time (in 1st episode of season 1 when Hinata was watching on TV), but they didn't make it far enough in the tournament to play each other (Karasuno lost in 3rd round and then Nekoma lost in the quarter-finals). Since both teams really want to play each other in an official Battle of the Garbage Dumpster, they need to cheer on the other team to win their prefectural respective qualifying tournament. Nekoma can finish in top 3 and can still qualify because Tokyo prefecture is huge and more than 1 team can qualify, but Karasuno MUST win its qualifiers to go to Nationals.

Just saw your Your Name reaction. You should watch a movie made by the same creators called Weathering With You, it's a movie which is in the same Tokyo where Your Name is set. It's on par, if not better, than Your Name. Highly recommend
