They were open because sellers can't check which version it is unless they open it and confirm it, but its a good remake from what i saw, best remake so far.

Beyblade X isn't advanced to the point it can have mode change yet so that's why it can't change modes

I’ve played one player all the time. The key is to have the beys on different launchers and having them extremely close to each other. When you launch one, toss it to the side, pick up the other launcher & beyond, then launch. I typically like to have the “advantage rule”, meaning whoever won last gets launched first (first launch is determined by who has more stamina & who is more stable to launch).

The Dragon Emperor is back in action with Lightning L-Drago!!! In my opinion, I think the big oof is the 1-60 ratchet, but regardless, it is still awesome. Keep up the good work! 👍

This is a random booster with 2 options in the set, each ‘mode’. Hence the black bags and that’s why they were opened to make sure you got which ever mode you ordered. Or if you got the 2 pack full set, that you got one of each. 👍🏽

It's a random select, basically a type of random booster. So, yeah, TT wants you to "gamble" into getting both versions. Plus, X isn't really that advanced yet to allow blades that can do mode changes. Including both blades (and a left spin launcher) would also make the box set quite expensive, which might make some fans quite apprehensive in buying such a remake given how so far X remakes are apparently "nerfed" weight-wise.

Sometimes things don't translate well into the next gen. That said, BBX, BBUX needs to start doing gimmicks besides the bits, which are very limited.

Can confirm, 3-60 Flat works REALLY good. Mine is upper attack mode, haven't gotten a barrage one yet unfortunately.
