I would love to see a series with a vehicle that doesn't have a ton of expensive parts "donated" by companies like Terrain Tamer. Just upgrades that the average person could afford?

I agree with dirtleg, the average man in the street or Bush don't get to buy all the fancy add ons, still good to watch but becomes a bit of an advertising series if you watch the lot this man has done, saying that good advice he does have about overland travelling, Aidan in Ireland

Don't mind the Land Cruisers, I love them as well, but another Troopy in a row is a bit too much. ... more over most people Overland build will be based on 90 or 120 Prado more available and affordable rigs.

Andrew, when you come through Addo I highly recommend doing the Bedrogfontein trail from the Darlington Dam in the North (you’ll be approaching from this side anyway) and ending in Kirkwood which is very close to the main gate. This section of the park (Kabouga) is much greener, much more mountainous and FAR less crowded. The rest of the park might end up being a little claustrophobic for your liking, although you will see more animals in the main camp. I have a video on my channel detailing the Bedrogfontein route if you’re interested.

Spot on Matt, the Eastern Cape has so much to offer! I kinda held my breath, to hear if he was finally going to going to do the Baviaanskloof, which in my mind is an absolute must for someone like our host who has never been. Then connect up with friends and family at Knysna via the Prince Alfred Pass.

Completely understand. I own a Troopy and will never sell it for another offroader. The size and the looks alone make it unique. When I think of offroad vehicles I think of the 78 Land Cruiser. Iconic! Archetype! Hope you are having a great experience in South Africa.

I watched your live tracker and saw you are in Cape Town at the moment. It would be an honour for me to take you and Gwynn out on my yacht, based at Royal Cape Yacht Club. We are planning a to go sailing/motoring on Thursday (2nd) for a sunset cruise or Sunday (5th) for a sail to Clifton. I never heard you mention sailing before and I would LOVE to introduce you to it! 70 series landcruiser is a fun build, but it's accessible in only a few countries. 105 on the other hand is available almost everywhere and I loved that built because it was relatable and more closer to reality for me. A 70 series is a unicorn for me and I'm not interested in fantasy builds.
