While they where hunting for Mark Thompson, the reason the ghost got angry so often was because of him and Mark sharing a name. When Bob and/or Wade would go to talk to Mark, it would trigger the ghost because his name was being said- even if it wasn't directed at him. Mark hunted Mark, and Mark hunted Mark back.

To be fair, the ghost was also a Wraith which isn't impeded by line-of-sight obstacles such as doors and walls (as we saw in the camera footage when it went through the door); running from a Wraith is a better tactic, especially in an area with long hallways like the school or asylum (also the likely reason Mark survived so many hunts).

Mark is _soooo_ lucky they didn't get a revenant in the high school. Revenants are fast as fuck, it's actually the ONLY ghost that can outrun/catch a player who's running in a straight line in a long hallway during a hunt. It would have EASILY caught up to Mark who was running nearly every hunt.

@@vincente3964 Nah, Jinn is faster further away (if the power is on) but slows down as it gets closer and at around 3-5 metres away, it moves at the same speed as the player, and can't catch up unless the player stops or slows down for whatever reason. Revenants gets a huge speedboost when they see a player and won't slow down at all as long as they can see their target, and if you're being chased by a revenant in a straight hallway it's nearly impossible to get away from its sights, especially when it's close enough to hear its footsteps.

AGnar0k depends on the map...asylum and hs yeah The others, not so much It’s speed up is based on if it has line of sight, and it’s slow down is the opposite (as long as you can turn 2 corners your basically safe) For those maps I’d say (in terms of during hunts only, not how often hunts are) I’d say wraith since to them, doors don’t exist for line of sight (making small-vertical bathrooms and closets basically pointless)

Revenants are the only ghost you cannot outrun, as they run faster the further away you are from them, but slower if you hide, Jinn is something you can actually outrun, because it can only teleport/move faster if the fuse box and lights are on. Demons, Banshees, Shades, Spirits, Wraith, Oni, Yurei, Mare, Phantom, and Poltergeist, can all be outrun, Wraith will kill you through the wall as it is not able to make contact with the walls or floor, Banshee however will only hunt one person at a time, so playing your cards right will make it so it never hunts in the first place. Demons will hunt you pretty much every 5 seconds if you get a hyper-aggro one but cannot catch you if you run from it.

Uhhh...noooo? It is seriously easy to just hide or walk away from ghosts. On Asylum and High School, you have long hallways...you can just simply keep moving. On house maps, you can just do loops around furniture to avoid the ghost catching you. The only ghosts that *will* catch you are Wraiths and Revenants, due to their mechanics: the former can phase through walls, and if in a chase, you try to hide, it will just glide through to get you, while the latter moves faster if you are not hiding, so if you're being chased, it is actually catching up to you. So, no, it is not "nearly impossible" to accomplish...you just really don't want to do it too often, as it takes you away from the necessary area to get the job done.
