The Who recorded this performance for a movie called The Kids Are Alright at Shepperton Studios near London. In the studio next to where The Who performed this gig, the movie "Alien" was being filmed. The cast and crew of "Alien" went over to see The Who gig and they liked the laser show in this song so much they ended up borrowing the laser gear from The Who and used it in the movie. So the next time you watch "Alien", keep an eye out for the The Who's lasers. BTW, The Who is touring this fall starting in Toronto in October and covering the entire US. If you've never seen The Who live, you still have a chance!

The blew the Rolling Stones and all bands with the performance they did. It was recorded in 68 and wasn't released till 96. Whether people liked The Who or not, people couldn't stop watching them perform because it was magical and never knew what to expect at any show. The drummer also smashes his kit too in some shows.
