Anime and media in general may tell you otherwise, but once you let down a woman or in this case replace her as a love interest they'll need time to heal and move on. Thanks for the english subtitles as I am deaf. i get to read an audiobook. Fascinating, imaginative as an Edgar Rice Burroughs Novel. Nice POV of both John and Amara. Interesting history of guns and weapons also entire imaginative structure of magic and iskai/reincarnation. Thanks again.

I think the first I can remember is maybe Jules verne center of the earth, or perhaps princess of Mars... Princess of Mars is remarkably similar to a lot of modern isekai. I don't know when Japanese isekai started.

Hi I can't help but notice since John achieved the WW2 weapons he hasn't found any fifty cal machine guns to use as a turret when got to the fort

It seems like they are restricted to portable weapons, so maybe he can get the barret m82a2 (over the shoulder bullpup prototype) or lynx for a modern .50 cal weapon. I would probably stick mostly with shotguns and try to find different shells (HESH would be brutal), ww1 weapons would include the browning auto 5 for semi auto.

​@ObesePuppies japanese mc tend to be doormat Turbo virgins though, barely any anime characters have a backbone, let alone actually have sex. Especially if it's an issekai, they get flustered at the slightest provocation and won't even hold hands with any if the normally several women throwing themselfs at them. And they also tend to let bad guys live. Those are my two biggest gripes with 90% of issekais.

given the date at which "John" was from why does he not know about non-lethal bullets and shotgun loads? Also should add an attempt to make simple shotguns and or rifles and hand guns by this world's craftsmen. It should not be that hard.

In that world some of his bullets are non leathal (knights and barrier warlocks) so using a wax slug or beanbag round (somthing late cold war) might be unavailable (if he is pulling by era) or ineffective. He is kinda stuck between useless or hyper leathal without much play between the two.
