Some of the stuff that happened is better explained in the Manga/Novel: - The Dryad part got entirely omitted, but basically a Dryad is a Spiritual Manifestation of a Tree, thus they can only cover a certain distance outside of their Tree´s roots. But Rimuru made the Wooden Doll out of Treyni´s tree and inserted Treyni Spirit/Soul inside that Core which he had in Hand. Thus making her a Dryad Doll and since her Tree is her body now Treyni is no longer bound by the forest. - Suphia and flying: Some Majins can fly without needing Wings. Ranga for example can run through the air since he has control over Wind and Lightning which he uses for his Storm based attacks. With his Wind Control he can use Air as Platforms to run on Air ( as seen in fight vs Charybdis) Suphia has been seen to be able to use Lightning as well in her fight against Shion so probably the same reason. - Gobta the GOAT: While he might be goofy looking, Gobta not only is an evolved Goblin he also has a Gift same as everyone who Rimuru named. That is why many underestimate him, but I believe the one who underestimates Gobta the most is Gobta himself.

Suphia flying just seems weird, she runs/jumps through the air similarly to Ranga yet they animated her flying instead. Just feels lazy since they never explain it. And with Gobta I agree he underestimates himself/doesn't believe in his own strength, probably because of the fact he didn't physically evolve like the others so he sees himself as a weakling still.

Agree about Gobta: he's a natural born warrior, so much so that Hakuro describes him as his pupil in multiple occasions. Even before evolving into a hobgoblin, on his first trip to Dwargon, he managed not only to survive a Blade Tiger's attack, but to kill the beast, alone. He's one of the strongest in Tempest, he just lacks the self-esteem to recognize it.

@@grandpagohan1 I think it's done for two reasons: The first is that it's because she's purposefully holding back and keeping her cards close to her chest. The other is that it's simply easier to animate a slowly wobbling character than a full on fast slithering snake lady.

About all the "convenient" powers: it's explained in the novel, sadly not in the anime, why they look convenient. They're gift, so they're not something imposed, but something desired, each gift is the manifestation of the receiver's wishes: Shion was envious of Shuna's ability to do everything perfect, so she got gifted with Cook, an ability that basically guarantees that every thing she does has the exact outcome she envisioned; Benimaru wanted to be the perfect leader, and so he got Commander, that allows him to feel the flow of battle and bolster the morale and coordination of his troops; Shuna wanted to be more useful to everyone and stop being the princess to save and shelter, and she got Manufacturer, that, despite the name, allows her to analyze, replicate, modify, and create basically everything, including magic; Souei regretted his inability to stop the massacre in Tempest, and so desired more combat power, and Shadow Striker was his gift, it allows him to bypass every defense of his target and attack directly the soul. And so on. Every gift is like that, it's not convenient, it's what they wished for.

if i have to guess i think suphia represent the japanese beast called byakko and it says that the beast has wind related abilities [rember when suphia turned into her beast form in early episodes her appearance sorta gives of a byakko]

I love how Morgan was fangirling over Albis! And not gonna lie, I've obviously seen Slime before, but even I was like "The fuck? Why can Suphia fly?" Seeing how you've been able to tolerate the fanservice in Slime, by now I actually think you'd appreciate the Story of Seven Deadly Sins enough to get through the fanservice (which gets less as the story goes on). I'd love to see you giving it a try! (I'd still love to see Tower Of God the most, though, which doesn't have fanservice at all) Also - GOBTA THE GOAT
