I just based drow society on Alternia and threw in some character refances and lore. my players loved it and didn't find out it was homestuck until they were emotionally invested.

For trolls, why didn't you name them "Alternian Trolls"? Wouldn't that make it a lot more sense? Since beforus is kind of irrelevant and just not good. Or hell, you could've called them "Alterii" / "Alterus" (Alterii being plural) Good story though!

Oh dang, Alterii / Alterus actually sounds pretty cool, I wish I had thought of that. Kinda too late for this campaign though... maybe if I run another campaign with trolls in it.

I knew about Danke. Danke's player named almost all of his characters "Thank you" in different languages. His first character (not in my game) was named "Gracias" (Thank you in Spanish). I did not know about Bitte, but knowing his player, this information doesn't surprise me.
