A better design for a void trap is to make a system to remove the block you spawn on using a piece of string to trigger an observer which then cuts off power to a sticky piston which then pulls back the block you spawn on.

@@xebrax124 yes. However it’s hard to notice and the trigger is instant. I’ve trapped minecraft prison escape professionals with my design. You can also implement a manual trigger for if they break the string so you can easily just put it back while they’re dying.

@@michaelb.3006 after a couple deaths it's not hard to realize that you're falling on a string. anyone is bound to break it at some point out of despair or boredom, and you can't keep manually putting the string back or else you might as well put them in a box and continuously kill them

@@xebrax124 it’s an instant trigger. I’ve used this method on many people. None of which have been able to break the string before falling out of reach. Besides the block closes behind them. You simply can not react fast enough to break the string. The block is moved through a single pulse of the observer and the hit box of your head is in the block (because it shuts that fast) within less then half a second. I’ve had everything from experts to AI’s to even auto clickers try to break out of it and none have managed to break the string. You can Ted this mechanism with 1 observer 1 redstone dust 1 sticky piston 1 string 2 blocks of your choosing. One being the block you stand on and the other allowing the redstone dot that’s powered by the observer to power the piston that’s below the observer.
