Every group has the potential to be an extremist and anyone who can't figure that out needs to learn that. Even atheism can get to extremist levels, for example Soviet era atheist propaganda; they've even blown up churches to continue their agenda, I'm an atheist myself but even I huge problem with it, ironically all of that atheist propaganda only strengthen their religious beliefs, not weaken but as they stopped with it the idea of atheism gets more appealing to people. When you force an ideology or belief to someone that will only give you the opposite effect of what you'd expect, people only change when they come up with their own conclusions, not when you force it.

According to Brandenburg v. Ohio, an avowed member of a white supremacist organization can call for the torture and murder of government officials as well as the purging of various ethnic minority groups as long as a sympathetic white crowd finds those threats to be unthreatening. This effectively overturned the precedent set by Schenck v. United States, which was that you could say anything you wanted to as long as the government agreed with it. In reality, dividing line between protected speech and terrorist activity is somewhere in between those decisions, but it's very telling what most Americans were fine with the Brandenburg decision until Muslim extremists started using it as a shield.

Ancient Muslims had plenty of art of Muhammed. Furthermore many many Muslims clearly do worship him so kinda a moot point. The fact is the Muslims don't want him protrayed in any form of parody or artistic rendering becuase they don't want people to know what he actually did, which is rape 10 year old children while being a warmongering clut leader, so it would be really easy to make him look terrible in parody like how Southpark parodies other people and groups.

The problem is the backwardness of the extremists. I'm also a muslim and Super Best Friends never offended me. A main part of worshipping in Islam is the fact that you can't pray to anyone except God and the ban of portrayals of our prophets are because of that. However, it's now doesn't makes sense even a little bit because these "praying to statues/images" are nearly over now. Also, the extremist views also banned anything about drawing humans because of that too. Also, why no extremists are angry from the fact that Jesus is literally a South Park character too? In short, there are many reasons that this controversy is very absurd, even for a Muslim that doesn't supports the backwardness of extremists.

I agree with Zscout. That is the problem. They don't recognize this as Islam being the problem and keep defending the extremist because in the end they think they are better than everybody else on this world. Their religion is definitely the problem. They need to wake up and see their religion as being barbaric, outdated and ultimately prone to bring violence between them and others. What they don't realize is how that, alone, make them absolutely unlikable and even laughable. Having put 'Censored' on their Moh, in this episode, make everyone find their religion even more despicable, and seem as 'idiotic'. By being offended, and having ask Moh not to be represented, they make themselves look even more pitiful as a religion and a culture in front of everyone. Any fanatics willing to get violent over a joke cartoon, the problem is definitely not on the side of South Park. Blame the real aggressors, not South Park.

I love how people have found Kyle’s original uncensored speech and how someone actually added Muhammad as seen in the Super Best Friends episode over the top of the censor bar, removing it entirely.

Imho, SouthPark is the greatest comedic show ever created. It’s brilliantly put together. And thanks for an excellent video.

I don't think you can really fault Comedy Central for chickening out. The post that caused all this shit pretty much said "If anyone wants to pull a Charlie Hebdo, here's the address". They have employees with families who absolutely did not sign up to being gunned down or blown up in a terrorist attack. Stone and Parker might've resigned themselves to whichever fate may come as a result of their writing, but Susan from accounting didn't. It's impressive enough that they aired it at all.
