Brilliant and beautiful! There’s a video out there of Stevie improvising about a broken keyboard which is also amazing and entertaining. What a show man!

That was so thoughtful and touching. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. It does remind me of what he composed on the spot while appearing on Soul Train.

Stevie Wonder is one of the gods that I can believe in. The guy is one of the geniuses that shaped the music of musicians. Even musicians who just happend not knowing about Stevie Wonder. Don't get it ? Then you need to dive in Stevie Wonder's career. Just use 4 hours to Stevie in the 60's.Then spend 20 hours on the period up to 1982 or so, especially dive fanatically on Stevie Wonder and his work on the Tonto. Obviously by that time you are hooked. Use another 5 to 10 hours to Stevie Wonder up to now. And then.... you just start all over again... In my mind..., when you look back over the past 100 years, this periode has new known a few superstars. The first two probably were guys like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley obviously. The list of that type of superstars is surprisingly longer then you might think in the first place. But in this group of people, who each by themselves are hugely talented, there is a much smaller list to make of those superstar who were absolutely exceptional because they managed to get skilled on so many facets of their careers, beyond of what we as a public got to see and hear. I'm talking about.... .. Paul McCartney and John Lennon, .. Michael Jackson as one of these exceptional talents (don't think the guy didn't play instruments, first he was able to play guitar and piano but that was not his way of how he created music, MJ created music almost primarily by using him self as the music instrument to compose and translate his ideas to his fellow musicians, in that sense Michael had similarities with Bobby Mcferrin. The man made unstoppable amounts of noice in the studio and the fun fact is that these noises became part of the end product.). Btw... Through their mother's family side the Jackson family have family bonds with Stevie Wonder his family. So... MJ and Stevie were not ' just good friends' but they were each others nephews. ...Stevie Wonder created music on the Tonto that are still fresh even after more than 50 years later. He is been covered by the greatest artists, His music can be funky, soulful or jazzy, Reggea or hiphop. He is a multi instrumentalist, just like Prince. Just listen to every album Stevie made, at least those he created in the 1970s. In comparison between Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince, Paul McCartney and John Lennon a guy like Elvis was mainly a good looking white guy with an amazing voice who exposed other white Americans to music that they had learned to have a problem with.

@@imarco7750 Extremely well put, sir! Stay tuned, I’m going to be making more music appreciation videos on Stevie soon. He is beyond comparison, in my opinion. So much talent, and humanity in a humble package. Thanks for watching-please subscribe if you haven’t-more on Stevie and Michael will be coming!

Thank you so much for this impromptu Stevie session gem. If he can come up with compositions so easily, why does it take him so long to release albums?
@billwolfer40202 ай бұрын
@@aminaghazali He is a perfectionist to the max when it comes to releasing his music to the world. He has hundreds of great songs that have never been released. His vault is piled high with tape boxes.

@billwolfer4020 yes I've heard as much from the likes of Bob and Malcom interviews. Just that 19 years since his last album and 10 years to put together A Time to Love is perfectionism to the nth degree! Don't get me wrong, he's given so much already, I'm more than happy to live on Stevie time and appreciate what he still has in store.

Amazing Story . Loved that lovely song Stevie wrote for your wife . So touching . By the way Bill I had your album Wolfe. An excellent Album . Loved the ballad Stevie guested on harmonies ‘Soaring .’ Was it Crystal waters doing the lead vocal . Plus I remember that track by Finn called ‘Call Me ‘ . Plus the several songs with Jon Gibson on lead vocal ‘Wake Up ‘ and the other track with MJ on backing vocals . Every track on that album is supurb . Did you record any other albums ?
