Dr Johnson passed the torch to a very well educated, mannered young man. Cant wait to see what this future holds for you Dr T!
@immaduck9232
@immaduck9232 Жыл бұрын
You're right, he seems intelligent and mannered. He has to have more fun & stop putting pressure on himself. The way he says, "she's a crack addict" seems rehearsed & not like he's having fun with it. He needs to let loose and just be himself! Not try to copy Dr. Johnson. Just my opinion. I hope the best for this young kid and hope he does well, & more importantly makes this channel his own

People critiquing Tristan and comparing him to Dr Johnson need to remember he's essentially taking over a long running & established KZbin channel where the audience have an idea of what they like - chances are Tristan is keeping the format as similar as possible to minimise disruption during the changeover. He's doing fine considering

I completely get what you're saying and thought the same thing. Big shoes to fill. However! I believe it's him putting pressure on himself to do that. The audience would appreciate it more if he were to let loose a bit and be HIMSELF. He'll never be Dr. G Johnson, I'll never be him, you'll never be him. We're unique and this young man needs to step into his OWN shoes. Just my opinion.

Honestly, the most important thing this guy can do is be curious about how to help the patient, and less hoping that it will go perfectly. I've seen other comments saying he's rushed and that's where it comes from. He's not going to be perfect. That should be a relief. Heck, was Dr. Gregory Johnson perfect? No. Experienced? Yes! But also loose and open minded. (and had fun doing what he's doing)

As someone who has taken over from a predecessor, it definitely takes a bit to find your specific niche. You can incorporate all the training from your prior leader/mentor to mimic that technique all you want, but it'll never be 100% exactly the same. Everyone operates in their own unique way. Tristan is taking what he learned from Palmer and Dr. J while adding his own spin. Just because he's not the OG doesn't mean he isn't as good or effective. No, I've never been adjusted or chiropractic care. I'm simply using my experience from taking over in dance to be the head honcho since 2015. I took the skills I learned and have added my own technique and style.

I say this with respect. When a patient says, "ooww" like at 13:02, the response from a medical professional should be "how'd that feel" or "you okay?" not immediately assuming she's great JUST BECAUSE it's the ring dinger. I know this man's gotten a few critical comments already, but I think they're good for him if he takes the feedback and grows from it. Wish you the best & keep learning and growing. You're young and filling in big shoes. You've got a long road ahead of you and there's no rushing that. Take your time and take all the feedback you can get. Or don't, what do I know...
