With the PTSD, I can tell u that when my mom died, a member of my family said to a Neurologist about some of her meds were to lessen the voices she heard. She admitted that she just realized that she hadn't heard them since she died. My mom was helping her from other side. Macy maybe doing that for u.

Just in case nobody else has let you know, the armour style you are thinking of is called scale mail. Scale mail is the traditional name that has received some other nicknames including dragonscale. You should look into that hernia though. It can be majorly debilitating as you get older and join us in the 60's age group... just saying.
