I got confused there at the start, I thought Fern already did the killing blow last episode 🤣😅🤣.

A lot of people thought so. I did too, but I was a little disappointed with the short fight. It would mean that a legendary mage was too easy to kill.

@@supos9131 Not really, since all fights in Frieren did not lasted long so far, so it was unsuspicious. Also this is Episode is why it should be recommended to not binge watch Frieren, but let it settle for a time, otherwise the meaningfulness and surprise with such a surprise tanks and you want to let the content marinate anyway for a bit.

Frieren is highly perceptive in fight. The clone activated her 360° shield upon seeing the faint smile on the original's face, even with mana detection interrupted, knowing that the original could be up to some tricks in her sleeves. Likewise, after the blackhole scene, when the clone was casting, she immediately stopped and activated a 360° shield seeing the original looking at somewhere above (ie. Fern). Only when the original feinted her attack after the gigantic black Zoltraack scene, that Fern's attack was successful.

@@kp395 I see, so while it does not have a complete copy of the mind, it still copies their intuition/instincts when fighting.

20:30 definitely not lol, fern’s pretty powerful, but still nowhere near frieren’s level by the looks of things. I’m not entirely sure, but it seems that methode might have been able to beat fern’s clone based on the shot we see of her standing over it when it was disintegrating
