Thank you! Yes, the mixer mutes/fades are automated. The channels are turned on/off by a polyphonic signal that goes through a Bernoulli switch with a probablity that increases in the first around two thirds of the piece and then decreases again to the end.

Yes, it's only noise, but that was the goal :) And if it's sonically attractive, at least in parts, and not completely annoying, I'm actually happy with the result.
