As a Richmond supporter this was such an exciting year even though we fell short. John Northey and Stuart Maxfield departing for Brisbane and Sydney respectively put us back 10-15 years.

Most enjoyable to watch, the format used for this show in 1995 was the best and most interesting ever in my opinion.

As much as I enjoyed watching That was the Season that was in the 90s as a kid, I honestly felt that when they stopped doing the round by round presentation and only went for this sort of presentation I felt it went downhill. It was hard to watch the show in this format but still bearable. Also they should not have talked about the Grand Final at the start thinking it was going to be the Grand Final of the 90s when in reality, it was a sad one sided game. So I think a bit of editing would be needed so they would withhold talking anything about the GF because looking back at it now, it seems embarrassing. Then again it is hard when you consider they were originally filming this on the night before the big game started.

Yeah I agree. This was the first year they did this 'random' format and doesn't make alot of sense. They must of stopped these shows cause I haven't seen one of them in decades.

at the end tag Craig Willis says Football Network Fox Footy has taken that over from 7. Amazing how far Bruce has come since then. since then 1995 no preseason cup comp and replaced with a community series and now there is talk of AFL X next year. a lot has changed in 22years since this was made. make me wonder
@hoivanmavin22287 жыл бұрын
this show makes me miss Bruce hosting AFL shows. Talking Footy for example is not the same without him or the old format. personally I don't think look Darcy is a good host Sam McLure would be better.

amazing that back then there was talk of a night GF yet we still don't have one considering TV networks is 7 have paid millions if not billions and still no night GF. u would have to think it would have to happen if AFL want more money over the odds.

… and yet, no team has got to a 17th premiership win yet, in that time; Essendon 1 Flag in that 29 years and Collingwood only 2. I would have thought the record that CARLTON first set (16 Flags) would’ve been overtaken by now.
