For everyone who is inquiring or upset about my giveaway being on Instagram - sorry, but my giveaways will always be on Instagram for many reasons. The main reason is because, since I’m the one giving away free stuff, I’m going to use the platform that’s easiest for me to keep track of entries and contact people in the fairest way I possibly can. If you don’t use social media, my advice is just to make an account for the purpose of entering. Who knows, maybe you’ll win! 🥰 I can’t please everyone, I’m just one person, but please be kind. This is a giveaway, after all, and I’m just trying to spread some cheer. Please respect my boundaries with making this giveaway in the place that I have chosen. 💜 Also: comments disappear a lot on KZbin, and the messaging feature has never worked well. Not sure if messaging even exists on here anymore either. That said, I do not find this platform to be a reliable place for this sort of thing, so please stop asking me to make exceptions. ✨ Love you guys!! ✨💜☺️

Hey you just do you. Like Bob Ross says, it's your world, make it the way you want it. I'm not on IG and wish luck to those who are. I'd actually like to see someone compare all the different platforms for someone old like me and describe the differences and what they are used for, how easy to set up, pros and cons. I don't have a young person in my life who "knows everything"
@mjpete273 жыл бұрын
I know that the public in general can be a real pain. You are trying to do something nice, spreading joy is a good thing! You should not have to be assaulted by the few that feel put upon because they cannot use or will not use a platform. I do not use Twitter, that is my choice. I do “miss out” on Twitter giveaways and polls and a myriad of other things. But I am not willing to give up what I have to give to participate in a social platform scheme that I don’t agree with. Please don’t let this get you down or let the naysayers discourage you. You’re a delightful young woman and I look forward to your videos and posts on Instagram. Good luck with the Etsy merchandise it all looks really fantastic! I am still enjoying my Miranda Byler Art and it is the first thing I see when entering my art space! I wish you only the very best and many customers too!

So, the Woody pencils are made for kids, but they are a great mixed media tool as well. You can use them over acrylic paints to add texture. And as already mentioned, one of the three uses beside colored pencil and crayon/oil pastel is being a watersoluble crayon like Neocolor II. There 18 colors altogether including a light flesh and gold and silver.
@tpwk133 жыл бұрын
I have all the colors of the stabilo crayon things, I got them at a workshop thing, and they're called "woodies" so the woody on them was their name😂 (btw, you can also use them on your window they come right of, and if you put water on the tips they're just like water colors!!)💕
@blackrose5383 жыл бұрын
You can use the Stabilo crayons like watercolours, too! And to paint on glass. We use them in kindergarten to draw things on the windows with the kids, because they're also easy to remove later.

I love oil pastels, particularly the tactile nature of them, however, I totally understand you having a negative sensory response to them and why you can't use them. As for a medium you should try, how about watercolour pencils. Or even the Derwent Inktense pencils on fabric. The inktense are watersoluble ink pencils that dry like waterproof ink, while w/c pencils are like water-soluble coloured pencils.

The autumn painting is so red and warm, I love it. I’ve seen the stay-wet palette before, it’s cool that you can keep some acrylic paint wet for a while. The crayons do look fun, seems they must be good cos they’re a little pricy for a kids’ product, the full set of 18 is £29 in the UK, but they do say the chunkiness makes them 8x the size of a normal pencil. They have a box aimed at kids and one for adults, the same thing except one has a brush, and they’re £2 different at least on Amazon UK, I guess that covers the brush. Aren’t those square sketchbooks a great size and shape? The Illo is either not available in the UK or really expensive anyway, but Pink Pig, Seawhite and Khadi Papers do good square ones and after using a 10x10”, 6x6, and also A5 and A4, an 8x8” is an easier size to hold on my lap and I don’t have to decide on landscape or portrait (obviously it can be turned round). I love oil pastels, but I know what you mean. It was sound for me, Derwent’s charcoal pencils were so scratchy. Also Conte’s carre hard pastel sticks, but not the ones I found by Sakura. I have some carbon pencils now, a mix of charcoal and graphite I think, by Wolff’s, and they’re fine, they’re softer. I blend oil pastels with paper stumps or rubber-tipped tools, though I have used my fingers before. Can also use a tightly-folded paper towel.

The Stabillo 3 in 1 showed a paintbrush on the side, so I'm thinking water soluble too. Watching now at 1:13 you can see the brush indicator on the wrapper maybe of the yellow one.
