From what I heard through reddit (so take this with a grain of salt lol), they were testing him out as a new addition to the cast and he was on a temporary contract, like 2-3 months or something. He just didn't fit the vibe of the channels and left amicably after his contract ended. Same thing happened with that youth pastor guy. No scandal, just not a good fit.
