I've been re-watching this production for years. Every one of the leads deserves Broadway, not kidding. The girl playing Kim is just astounding. I direct at a regional theatre and I would totally kill to have the kind of talent in this high school (!) production has.

Hearing these comments, if I produced a production of Bye Bye Birdie, I’m gonna transpose all of Kim’s songs: How Lovely to Be a Woman (3 semitones higher) One Boy (2 semitones higher) What Did I Ever See in Him (? 3 semitones higher) A Lot of Livin’ to Do (for Kim’s verse, 2 semitones higher) And also rewrite the vocal line for Hymn for a Sunday Evening so that Kim hits a flawless Eb6 to a high Ab6.
