You can tell this purse was a favorite, from the condition!!!!! Even so, the stitching on the handles is still perfect!! these bags are such high quality, they are certainly worth all the effort you put into it Kim!!!! Great job!!!!!!!

I collect and now recently started to rehab old vintage Dooney bags. I use distilled water, an old toothbrush and some saddle soap and I scrub the stitching on the handles and after a few scrubs, they eventually come out lighter. You just don't know who handled that purse and the germs that must be on them, that is why I scrub.

It's fantastic how you rehabed this Dooney. Why would somebody donate a bag in such a state? Why did the store accept it? You are a miracle worker!!!

The upside is that Kim was able to save it from the landfill & give it a new life! ❤

I was lucky enough to buy a *hotdups* bag that I love. I understand how you feel. I personally think that the packaging should be enough to protect the items inside, whether it is made by Dior or a cheap item from a discount store! Thanks for the video

It turned out so beautifully. People must really love their Dooney's because I keep finding them at the thrift stores and they're pretty beaten up. But I bring them home. The leather glue for the edges is brilliant, I never thought of that. Thanx again. 🙌🌸

When it comes to buying second-hand items, I worry about its authenticity, especially now 😅 so I try to be more cautious when investing. I went to *hotdups* and really enjoyed the experience. Planning to go again in the future.

If people loved their Dooney's, they would take better care of them. Those handbags are supposed to last forever. And back in the day they were expensive.

Thanks so much for this rehab video. I also love vintage bags and wondered how other sellers bring them back to life. I want to mention that my mom has dementia and I don’t give her nice expensive bags anymore because she likes to collect things like pens, candy, lighters, etc. and she just trashes her bags. It’s her condition so I understand how bags can end up like that now. Prayers and hugs to your dad and for what your family is going through.

I'm with you, I love a bag with some mileage, and I want to see evidence of that. lf I'm buying a new bag (NOT affordable for me), then it had better be clean and fresh and new, but a used bag, which I personally prefer, should have the look of something that's been somewhere and done something, but also be clean and in good repair. Thanks for this video, it's very helpful!
