Great finish dozer! I have two of them. I think for your application, look at a D6R or D6T your going to need the extra weight and power for pulling or pushing chippers or loaded trucks.

I ran a 5-K and with the electric over hydraulic, it was a sweet machine and the glass will stay in it just as long as YOU want it to, pal. And get the winch on that dozer. The hi-track you can't see a winch at all except from a mirror on the inside top of the cab. And it'll be a winch that'll pull a skidder in 2 if you get the tractor fouled. Pryers, BLESSINGS and Hug Everybody

Add a forestry package was screening over the glass and maybe a set of canopy sweeps and you might have some usable now it was me I've been looking for a good d6d to rebuild that's just me and I like old stuff preferably without government juice again that's just me.

Nice dozer but needs woods package as you probably know and yes a winch with an arch would go good too. Good luck if you guys buy it

D6?? I think that at least a D7 would be better for getting the chipper unstuck. He'll with a 7 or 8 and a two axle dolly you could pull the chipper and save the wear and tear on the semi truck s

You would probably want a 100 ton winch just like the boys at J&N back in the mid 2000's on the back of their D6 high track. They used them all the time in the oil fields

The logger standard around me is a 750 Deere with a 6 way or better yet an 850!

You can get a woods kit for that dozer we have two of them and you can actually see through the cages alot better then you can on the John deeres cages and Cats don't rattle like the deere cage either
