We wanted to use a green screen so we wrote a proposal, went in front of a city budget meeting & explained how beneficial it would be for the studio to have one. They approved our request, we bought the chroma green paint & painted the wall ourselves! So of course, every week, at least one of the Country Bob band members would wear something green & have to change it LOL!! I was not involved with a show featured in this video however I feel compelled to inform you of the following : Unwind with the Sweeties won a very rare and now extinct public Access Emmy™️ ( yep a real Emmy) for the shows animated opening titles. The sweeties were performed by two very well known Comedy and Improv personalities. One has their name up in neon in the main room of the Comedy Store. The other is a founding member of The Groundlings. I have performed with both and they are both geniuses. One of them had a solo Public access show that still has me in hysterics. A simple concept that involved a “celebrity “ who’s just trying things they never tried. Bored and unscripted they would make live calls to 1-800 numbers found on various cleaning products, foods, the yellow pages, and engage with real people. It sounds so boring but the comic genius is completely on display here and in overdrive. The conversations are hysterical with sublime moments that are truly poignant . Bless the Sweeties and the cable they rode in on.

That was an excellent vid my friend. I'm from the UK, where we never had Public Access. After hearing about it in the 80s from North American friends and co-workers, I always hoped we *would* get PATV at some point, but it just never happened. The early days of KZbin (before it turned into simply another arm of the highly-censored, anything-fot-advertising-revenue, global nightmare media conglomeration), was a bit like how I imagine PATV might be - but they've destroyed the pioneering spirit of the mid-2000s and the Thought Police are everywhere these days. Luckily, using the examples you've given, I've managed to compile a playlist of a few of the shows still in existence - and I'll go through them later. There's something about that North American low resolution, over-saturated colour video that's so appealing - that feeling that ANYTHING could happen! So thanks again. All the very best from over here to over there. May your channel continue to prosper and grow in these uncertain times, and please keep giving us content that we might not want but in a strange way we *need*! "The worst show" when you said how to call your cat I remembered the ritz brother skit of a similar name. Way less upsetting than roadkill

Just to let u know the second show "Asylum" had a lot of flashing lights, & might have set off seizures in other people. I had problems trying to watching it. I got close till I looked away, & managed to skip that part of the video. Please warn us next time. Please & thank u. Love your videos anyway!

Hey dude, sorry about the dog...my little buddy is getting on in years, but he's okay and very loving. Honestly, if Joy Junction was made into an indie horror game, I would not be surprised. And that Survival show is something the Strong Bros would watch if nothing else was on...the Cheat would probably have to be supervised though. Survival: "I guess we could learn from these guys, but we'll keep an eye on the Cheat in case he tries some of the stuff out...the last thing I want is to be lectured by Strong Sad after the Cheat starts a bonfire. In my room." Asylum: "Meh, the bros and I have our own B-grade horror flicks to watch. Plus, it'll give all of us seizures." MHK Show: "Rest in peace, good man...I'll break some matzoh slathered in Fluffy Puff Marshmallow Fluff for you. As for the show, Strong Mad could definitely watch this...but the boys gotta learn basic hygiene first. Still, I appreciate the effort!" Strong Mad: "I CAN MAKE A CAAAAAKE!" TNFTS: "Man, that's something even Strong Sad won't watch. You should take it up to Bubs...if only to sell the footage..." Unwind with The Sweeties: "That sounds less of a 'Strong Bros' thing and more of a Homestar thing...it's his brand of humor...whatever that is..." Joy Junction: *after learning about the man behind the puppet* "Nope. No way. Ain't touching this one... It's too happy joy joy for me...that puppet gives me the jibblies..." What's Your Problem?!: "Strong Sad can have this on as background noise...maybe Homsar can watch this!" Race and Reason: "Again, not touching this one. I prefer my bros being as different as they come!" Mystic Kids Funtime: "Oh, this is really Homsars speed...though I'm not sure the guy will get the jibblies with all the stuff discussed...those other shows look more like him, though!"

We have a Joy Junction homeless shelter here in Albuquerque, and a janitor was arrested for molesting kids and making CP. I thought surely this must be the same dude, but Jesus Christ no, it's another one! And people wonder why I steer clear of religious organizations. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much trust put into every "good Christian" that comes along seemingly to be helpful. No way, nope ain't buying it. I'll keep my kids under my supervision the entire time, thank you very much. I mean they're grown now, and one's a Marine, but you can never be too careful people. If someone seemingly wants to be around your annoying spawn for no good reason at all, be suspicious people. If they're not getting a paycheck suspect alterior motives. I've seen a lot during all my years of bailbondng and it's always that really nice guy who just wants to do you a favor or a boyfriend overly anxious to be a "family man". I refused to date for 7 years after my divorce, until my kids were grown men, and you should too. It's just not worth the risk.

I found some kind of local channel a couple years back, & the 2 shows I saw were a competition for auctioneers, & square dance tractors, where several people drove tractors in a sort of square dance formation, set to music

I haven't really delved much in the history of Public Access but it sounds like the grandfather of a lot of genres today. Glad to know people are taking steps to preserve it.

It's honestly so weird that you can split local broadcast shows into two different sections, those really weird yet passionate shows like let's paint and the kalin show, then you just have the straight up edgy stuff whether it be for the sake of being edgy or the actual legit racist or straight up illegal stuff

The mystic kids fun time uses Shadow puppets or what we call in Indonesia as wayangs and the use of them can be seen as innapripiatw on the show as wayangs in Indonesia are mainly used to tell of mythical tales from Indonesian folklore seeing it used like this I can only be felt disgusted
