k24 has all the torque but a type r k20 has all the high end power naturally aspirated with the right bolt ons especially on a hondata or Kpro tune Watch humble performance they have 400hp naturally aspirated Hondas beating Turbo Hondas in the 1/8’s at the track

Excellent swap for your Integra! You made me choose an Acura RSX 5 years ago with your previous videos (rsx turbo)! Bought it with a K24A2 swap, added TypeR brembo brakes , sway bar, and few others parts. I had an awesome time with it, did few track days and never regret it! Thank you for your videos every week! Hell Yeah!!! The K20A is a great platform. Will we see some Hondata Kpro tuning? The possibilities for this N/A engine are numerous. I am glad you went with the K Series and didn't try to cheap it real with older engines that couldn't make near as much power N/A. Much luck and will be staying tuned.

I'm looking to do a K20 swap in the near future, possibly with a DC2. I appreciate you making this because I never realized how much crap is in the engine bay of a stock DC2. Holy smokes. You see cars like RHDKev's and don't realize what it takes to get to a perfectly tucked engine bay like that. Great choice on the swap. I've been autocrossing a friend's EP3 with the K20Z3 and it's a riot, even being 500 pounds heavier than your DC2. The K20A is perfect for these because you don't have to get an offset shifter cable bracket for the transmission, notch the frame, and run Accord shifter cables. All the A drivetrains slot right in there, and the K20A is the only one of those with a factory LSD. Looking forward to following more of this series. Keep it up, DP.

Madness. The older retro Honda's were sports cars with very high revving, high compression, 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder performance engines. S2000 and integra type r for example. Nsx was also built by honda, to be competitive against ferrari in 1991, and was and cherished by Senna, the famous f1 race car driver

It’s funny watching this. I worked for certified racing which was known for doing k swaps. Seeing this was reminiscing all those years at the shop and we all got our tricks of the trade. As far as I know the first couple k swaps ever were done right here in NJ. I know my brother was probably the first person to get his hands on one. I think Yosolo’s old shop was the first to swap the K but certified was basically the first known shop for it. Even though it wasn’t completely certified at that point. My brother was doing it out of his little garage and he wasn’t even 18 yet so the certified racing name wasn’t made official till a couple years later.

Certified has around for a long time for sure. I know personally, we got our first car running in 03/04. I was still in high school and the only guy that I knew of that had a running car other than us was in CA. After that car ran the info was all over Honda Tech.

Yea it was around 02-03 but those probably weren’t gonna be too public at that time because of how the engines were obtained lol. Albert had it in a clean black bubble that he was using to go to high school. I wouldn’t be surprised if I did business with you when I was there. I ran the storefront so I was always reaching out to other shops and places like Motovicity for parts.

My car "Penny" is a Blaze Orange 2K5 Acura RSX Type S, with A-SPEC but no body kit. ;-) The MG-B I had was more fun (topless) but this is way more piratical. Btw - I had traded a Black "Scalloped" 2k2 Acura RSX Type S (no A-SPEC or body kit) for "Penny". Description; "Scalloped" - front and rear bumpers are clearanced for head and tail lights.
