I feel like I’m the only one who didn’t see The Ghost’s betrayal coming 😩 straight away I assumed it was Taryn, but then thought that perhaps it was going to be Cardan himself (but I quickly shooed that feeling away because I didn’t want to believe it)... but THE GHOST?? REALLY?? I audibly gasped and had to put the book down for a few moments when I read that line :(

Like as soon as I knew that the bomb was in love with the roach I kind of ruled them out because duh Carden himself wouldn't make sense either and I figured Maddock Taryn and Locke wouldn't make any sense because Jude dint really trust them But like I was PRAYING that it wasn't the ghost because damn I loved him and when I read the lines I almost threw my book away BECAUSE HOW CAN HE BREAK MY HEART (lol)

Reading this RIGHT after the acotar series felt like a BALM for my soul. I loved LOVED how HB was able to create intrigue, angst, A WHOLE WORLD, rich characters and ALL THOSE PAGES without smut. I mean, I'm not against it but when it's used as filler for lack of development annoys me TO NO END. AND THE ENDING. I WAS SCREAMING *SILENTLY* AT 2AM! Now I'm reading Q.O.N. and I'm like biting my nails with every chapter!

One of my theories about what will happen in the queen of nothing is that when she goes back to the faeries as Taryn, Cardan won't recognise her(as he already did once) as it's told on the back of the third book,maybe he'll tell to Taryn(Jude) that he misses her or something like that. I can't wait until november!!

My only criticism of the book(s) is it’s written in the present tense. So I change things (other than stuff in speech makers) as I’m reading to the past tense. I just find it easier to read and get my head round things that way. Took a week to read book 1, took me 2 days to read this book. I can’t wait for book 3. The thing that really made me squeal was when carden took Jude into the secret room off the throne room. OMG they did WHAT!!! For a moment all I could do was gasp and laugh.

The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh! It’s got a very different setting but the main character reminds me of Jude so much and the angst is so epic between Celine and her love interest!

Im watching this after finishing "the queen of nothing" and tbh the letters at the end broke me more than the ending of "the wicked king" because he was begging her to "come home" and she never got the letters and thought he hated her and she hated him and- MY HEART it hurts so much even they end up happy 😭

Two more months yay! Ok, ok. So I do really like these stories and characters. However, is Kaye going to be ok!? How is Roiben holding up? If you haven't yet-please read their trilogy that came out before this. Tithe, Valient, and Ironside. Ever since I've read these books, I have been on the look out for the short story check ins on them. Like in The Faerie Reel and the end of the paperback version of The Cruel Prince.

I dislike '' dark'' fantasy. I dislike' 'bully romance' '. I m too old for YA.. And yet, i loved this book. Jude is why. She is so determined to have power (which usually is villifyied in female protagonists: like the evil queens and black witches. Good Women in litterature are supposed to value love above all else. But Jude wants power for all the good reasons) , her attraction to cardan doesn t dimish her, it adds fuel to her fire. I expected the author to make the attraction a point of conflict that weakens Jude's resolve to reach her goals. The author does not embelish and romanticize the bullying. Jude does not excuse the bullying because the bully is too attractive. The author avoided all the things that i hate in '' bully romance' and in YA romance. I think the relationship with her twin sister has all the usual things i hate in romance: forgiving repeated betrayals and irrational love. We all hated the sister, but it was clear Jude was inable to trully hate her twin. She even blames herself from time to time, thinking she lied to her twin too. As if..
