Well I watched this video, and I'm not actually familiar with that theory? But I do like it all the same. However I can't really feel that it's all that grim and I'm not sure why you chose that word to describe this theory. But while we're on the subject of film theories I have one of my own, regarding the movie. The breakfast club. And I have looked all over the internet trying to see if someone else has noticed it but no one has ever even suggested it. And I don't know the first thing about starting my own website or a blog or what not or putting a video on KZbin so is there any chance that you can do a video on my theory?

Umm Wrong. I wasted time looking for a comment to just up vote but this theory is soo incorrect. I dont see how its overlooked. 1) not only would he have to save Marty before he dies but your title would read how many times did Doc kill DOC to save Marty?!? Idk how long i want to spend correcting this as kindly as i can but the fact that that you @9:15 mention ground hogs day my favorite movie shows you dont have a good grasp in my opinion. you mixed sending memories back in time and actually being to able to meet yourself (physical objects back in time) this is two very different time theories which dont play nice together at all in my understanding. Soo short story small i see Marty A going downt the road hit by car. DOC A goes back in time Doc A is alive and Doc B (future) soo DOC B kills Doc A who failed in this same split of time and makes the maneuver as you put it perfectly so as to save Marty A. You see its not memories as in groundhog day that are sent back but objects. IF your saying that it branches more then he never actually saves marty because hes in a different string of time all together where Marty X is there and Doc A is not... But then the movie falls apart altogether. Grr so many edits because its soo off. you state yourself be ok with multiple DOCS i am but they still would hold the same space unless they meet before.. soo it would be DOC A talks to DOC B but DOC A saves Marty A erasing DOC B ugh

Regarding the tunnel: Doc was in a flying DeLorean which means he has a bird's eye view of both the tunnel and road. He was waiting at the end of the tunnel, but he sees Biff's car emerge, do a quick turn and head back into the tunnel. Now even though he is a scientist, it wouldn't take one to guess that Biff's actions mean he's after Marty; so Doc realizes that he needs to get to the other end of the tunnel ASAP if he's going to be of any help to Marty. This would explain why he was there waiting to help. Regarding the top of Biff's hotel. When Marty 1st arrives he goes to the edge looking for Doc; for whatever reason, Doc was late getting there but it was part of there plan for Doc to meet Marty on the roof. Of course Doc does arrive which Marty can see, so he just steps off the roof and into the DeLorean.

I suddenly feel that a cooler version of the scene would be Doc then flying through the tunnel to chase after Biff and over taking, above him, at the last second, to rescue Marty.
@Hydroculator6 жыл бұрын
The tunnel is extremely long. Doc was directly above the exit. Somehow he knew exactly when to turn on his landing lights and drop the flags. He'd also have to know that Marty would be the first out the tunnel. Marty could have been behind the car, in the car, still in the tunnel, whatever, but he Knew that he needed to save him the way he did. When Marty reaches the edge of the roof, he's frustrated that there's no way down. From his vantage point, he'd see the entire plaza. If Doc was anywhere near the hotel, Marty would have seen him coming. He had to be only seconds away, and arrived during the confrontation with Biff. He had to know exactly when to be there, exactly where he had to be, AND he had to know to come dangerously close to that spot of the hotel and fly directly upward. If Doc and Marty agreed to meet on the roof, the Doc would fly in from above to find a good landing spot. Biff and Marty were only on the roof for barely a single minute before the Doc was crawling straight up the side of the hotel. If they came out while the Doc was surveying the roof, he had less than a minute to figure out what was happening, what to do, where to go, and actually get over into position. On top of all of that, he knew *exactly* when to throw open the door! DeLoreans have incredibly poor visibility from inside. There's no way he could have seen Biff from below while he was that close to the wall of the hotel. So many extremely close *exact* coincidences of saving Marty's life, and he has a time machine. I don't think it's a stretch at all to think this all could have been going on. We know Doc made lots of trips without Marty, so who knows?

@carlhartwell79784 жыл бұрын
Well, to be honest, does it really matter about the whole naming of the ravine? What I mean to say is, Doc saving a person who is _supposed_ to die, is necessarily going to change the timeline isn't it? I thought this while watching the film recently, when Marty and Doc make the connection about Clara Clayton and the ravine I thought..."hold on guys, what does it matter the ravine is now going to called something different? Now there's a whole life that's going to be lived that shouldn't have! Anything could come of her or any of her offspring". This makes me think that the 1985 that Marty ends up in is going to be radically different than the 1985 he grew up in. Case in point, we can assume that when Doc first went back to 1855 he picked Clara up from the station, but he didn't _think_ he was doing anything utterly cosmically spectacular, he was just running a simple errand....But as we now know, it wasn't simple, by him not being there to do that she originally died! This proves that when Marty went to 55 for a week or so and 1885 for a similar time and Doc to 1885 for months, they altered history dramatically, even if they did _apparently_ mundane things.
@pedrosilvaproductions4 жыл бұрын
@@carlhartwell7978 That's the paradox of doing anything in the past. You just walking down a street could trigger different events that would happen or not. For example, George McFly being hit by the car triggered the whole first movie plot, because Marty interfered. Imagine that situation with you walking down the street in the 50s. A dude just looks at you, but he was supposed to cross a street and nearly get hit by a car. If he didn't look at you he could avoid it, but got distracted and he got run down. Let's imagine he's the father of a future president, something like that, that would completely change history y'know? Simple things like that, it's fun to think about

Carl Hartwell well they did call it something different if you could see when Marty was coming back from 1885, it showed that they ended up naming it after Marty bc he called himself Clint Eastwood so I think it was “Eastwood ravine” bc ppl probably thought he was still on the train when the train fell Ik it really ain’t the main point of what you saying I was just saying it

4:20 - This actually subtly foreshadowed. In the earlier hottub scene, Biff asks Marty how he got past security to the penthouse at the top of the hotel. Marty brushed it off, but the implication is clear: Doc flew him up to the roof, probably with his lights off etc. to not be seen. At the roof, Marty's looking to see where the DeLorean is. Odds are Doc was somewhere on that side of the building where he couldn't easily be seen but could see Marty. He flew up, Marty stalled until Doc was close enough, and then jumped. This is a reasonable interpretation since suddenly Marty looked calm before jumping. Of course, we could still claim it was a time-travel solution, but Occam's Razor, the solution that requires the fewest assumptions, is the most likely...and we know Doc would've tried to avoid extra time-travel if feasible due to the risk of further temporal disruption.

One thing that doesn’t make sense in Back To The Future 2 is if Doc took Marty and Jennifer to the 2015 future then Marty’s kid wouldn’t ever exist erasing Marty and Jennifer from history. My theory is that the reason why Doc took Marty and Jennifer to the future was to show Marty what happens to Marty when people call him chicken so that Marty would have a better future. Doc even says that the future is what you make it. I think that Doc made a simulation to show Marty his future.

Marty also could've returned to 1985 in Part 3 at a time where he had no time to react to a train heading towards him...did Doc save him there as well? I don't think Marty had deaths I just think there was close calls just like in most other films. Just because this is time travel people have to make up fake theories. They made a bit of a careless mistake in Part 2 with the tunnel & Doc saving Marty the opposite side that was all or maybe it was just to suprise the audience, it wasn't a case of Marty originally died. You can't keep going back in time because you have more other selves to avoid every time so this didn't happen.

My theory on the last sequel; the Doc OF 1885 truly didn’t have a time-machine that worked, but another version of himself told him in advance when and what he needed to do to keep Marty Alice. It may seem inconceivable for there to be a future Doc that COULD go back in time to tell himself how to keep Marty from being hanged if said version of Doc wasn’t saved by Marty because, well Marty was hanged the first time. But as was said Doc DID eventually make a new time-machine. Maybe that was his first motivation for making the time-train (or whatever its first incarnation was) to save Marty. Perhaps at some point in the established time-line that we know in the movie he will still have to go back in time to give said warnings to keep the timeline set in motion by the previous versions of himself still cycling. But he didn’t rescue himself. Perhaps rather than telling himself personally he sent himself (a) message(s) like he did to Marty in between sequels. Or here’s another idea perhaps Clara or one of his kids are actually responsible for the messages or tampering done in the last sequel, like somehow arranging the man behind Clara in the train to have heard Doc talk about her and keeping them together. That seems better than the idea of Doc effectively forcing Clara to fall in love with him. Perhaps one or both or their kids did something similar with them to Marty did for his parents in the original movie.

BttF 2 could never have happened. Why? Because the moment Doc Brown showed up and whisked Marty and Lorraine off the entire future changed. As far as the world was concerned Marty and Lorraine vanished on that date. So how the hell did they simultaneously exist in the future?
@nunyabaznus78516 жыл бұрын
Backfromthedeadguy .... time isn't linear, that's just how humans perceive it. the future was already written at that point, otherwise Doc couldn't have visited the future before coming back to get marty. the 3 of them simply injected themselves into that specific point in the already existing future. its like folding a sheet of paper and poking a hole through it. both points in time exist simultaneously. whatever point in time they are, 1 second is 1 second, the earths rotation is always the same speed. in order for the future to change while they are in it, they would have to wait 20 years living in the future until the past point in time progressed and "caught up" to them.
@nicholastosoni7076 жыл бұрын
_Back to the Future's_ rules are weird. Every time I want to make an argument I end up unraveling my train of thought. About all I can say is, the DeLorean takes Marty to the most possible future which can exist as of altering things in 1955. It's probably one of the properties of the Flux Capacitor: As a side effect of time-travel, it allows two distinct versions of a person to exist in the same place at the same time; nothing goes wrong as long as you don't interact with your past/future self.
@Backfromthedeadguy6 жыл бұрын
In BttF time is linear, that's why they're always trying to "fix" it. And traveling forward in time is different than traveling back. At the end of the first movie they didn't so much travel "through" time but skipped it. In order for your idea to work then at the moment that Doc Brown appeared there had to be another Marty and Lorraine to create the future that they were trying to change. If Doc wanted to help them, all he had to do was warn them then, so they could be ready for the future.
@nunyabaznus78516 жыл бұрын
Backfromthedeadguy ... if you think about two different possibilities, one where Marty and Lorain disappear for 6 hours, and another where Marty and Lorraine grab a cup of coffee and watch a movie for 6 hours, the two possibilities would likely result in the exact same timeline, or at least "close enough", since neither of them would have likely interacted with very many people in those 6 hours enough to change anything anyway. spending 6 hours in the future is the same as standing still and waiting 6 hours in the past. time progresses at the same rate. the timeline would take 6 hours to rewrite itself before marty notice anything in the future.
@Backfromthedeadguy6 жыл бұрын
But they didn't disappear for 6 hours, they disappeared for years. Remember, we're dealing with Marty's and Lorraine's future, not their past, so for them nothing had happened yet. They shouldn't have doppelgangers because they stepped out of the timeline entirely. The future they arrived in should have been a future where they simply did not exist. Like I said before if Doc Brown wanted to help them all he had to do was give them a verbal warning. Also be aware that this is not so much "time travel" but time dilation as far as Marty and Lorraine were concerned en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_dilation. In other words they were going so fast that time had no affect on them while the world kept moving forward. Then, after X number of years passed, they simply allowed time to affect them again. So you can't even say they visited "their" future because they were still in their present. Time is relative to the person who's observing it and they were simply living out their present. Only from Doc's POV is there any difference in the timeline and it was a totally unnecessary violation of his own rules against tampering with time.

I’ve got a theory on how doc still had a working time machine in 1885. So there’s a paradox where if doc left the time machine in the cave since 1885, where Marty finds it and uses it, then there would be 2 Deloreans. So perhaps with the second one, he used it, then destroyed like he always wanted to

another reason for the meddling is Doc is trying to make up for trying to kill Marty in the 1rst movie. The time machine is his big idea something he's willing to risk his life for, but with his history there is a doubt in the back of his head, so when he ropes Marty into helping him he thinks this has got to work or there is no point in living anymore, there was really no reason to stand in front of an untested machine so at that point he was OK with getting run over Marty as well, but when the car disappeared he finally realized what he almost did and spends the rest of the trilogy trying to make amends.

You’re absolutely right why didn’t you just go to the old? Time machine leave a note with the time machine claiming that you’ll have to play gas tank with the newer one which would be more less easy in this timeframe, then drop gasoline and go back to the future. The entire hole is right there. It’s a big gaping hole.

Interesting theory, but there is one major problem, if Doc Brown goes back in time to prevent Marty's death the first time, then you have the problem of now two Doc's in that timeline. One that goes back and saves Marty and the other that witnesses it happening but doesn't go back. Of course if Doc goes back and saves Marty. Then Doc from that timeline won't go back and save Marty in the first place which would create a Paradox. How Doc knew Marty was going to come out of the tunnel? Simple he would have flown over the other side and seen Biff's car turned round. So naturally he would have gone back to the other side of the tunnel where Marty came out from.

Maybe, the reason why Doc insists on preventing Marty from meddling with the timeline is because two people indepently meddling with time would cause unpredictable results. As this theory suggests, Doc is methodical, and attentive and plans the moment in which he decides to make changes. However, Marty's poor impulsive decissions would cause a big mess, thus, Doc's (probably infantile) excuse of "don't interfere or the universe will explode". How on Earth could he know that it would destroy the galaxy? He doesn't, but falsely warns Marty, as this is the only scenario in which Marty would stop interfering.

Doc Brown from 1955 could of easily replaced fuel line and gas. Also in BTTF 1 didn’t Doc and Marty get very lucky in 1955 when Marty was just a few minutes away from returning to 1985 that it didn’t start raining. Water and electricity aren’t friends and Doc (1955 ) and ( 1985 Doc therefore wouldn’t exist.) The time machine would’ve disappeared around Marty and also Marty may have died as a result of electrocution or at best stuck in 1955 onwards and had to live the rest of his life in Hill Valley without Doc Brown. Also the night Marty was supposed to return to 1985, Marty would’ve seen Doc dead and with the Time Machine erased from existence, Marty would’ve fled the scene absolutely terrified ( with no way back to 1985 ) the police would be on their way sometime further into the night. Sliding doors moment right there. Lucky it rained later that night and not earlier.

The Back to the Future II instance was misinterpreted. TL;DR - Marty had a plan to get off the roof. He was looking for Doc and saw him last second. Doc was talking about Old Biff choosing 1955 as a coincidence, not how he saved Marty. In the alternate timeline, Alt Marty and Biff have a dealer and drug addict relationship. Alt Marty is constantly asking Biff for money. Because of this, Biff ordered his goons to beat up Marty to make him stay away. When he doesn't, he sends him to Switzerland to get rid of him likely at Lorraine's request instead of killing him or worse. Enter 1985 Marty who is bashed on the head and knocked out. Lorraine mistook Marty as Alt Marty and took him upstairs. Biff finds out and barges into the room screaming, "You're supposed to be in Switzerland you little punk!" After a display of domestic abuse, Biff threatens Marty to leave and Marty learns about his father's death. This set up moves the narrative forward in the film and gives Marty's motivation for retrieving the almanac in 1955. It also shows the world as a living one because in order to find out where Young Biff got the almanac, they have to return to the tower to find out. Due to the encounter from before, Biff tighten security. No one could enter the building with out specialized training... or a helicopter. Doc has a flying car. Marty entered the building via the roof. Biff asks, "How'd you get past my security downstairs?" Marty brushes it off only caring about the almanac. The rest of the scene plays out and we get to the moment you reference in your video. You correctly concluded that Marty being trapped on the roof was not part of his plan. However, Marty was looking for Doc, hence his frustration. As I said before, Doc dropped Marty off via the roof. Doc's absence was likely due to the fact that he couldn't just hover in plain sight. The attention might have hindered Marty as he interrogated Biff, so he left to remain undetected. On his return approach, he probably saw Biff and Marty's stand off and flew into position with the intention of alerting Marty. Luckily Marty happened to look over the edge and see the Delorean. Proof - Biff: Kid, I OWN the police! Besides, they couldn't match up the bullet that killed your old man. Marty: You son of a- *cut off by Biff cocking the hammer * It's here that Marty checks for Doc again and sees him. He slowly looks back at Biff with the idea of dropping onto the Delorean and using the shock value of seeing him alive as a FU moment before Doc and he go to 1955. Biff: I suppose its poetic justice. Two McFlys with the same gun! Marty drops off the ledge. Biff, baffled by Marty's decision, takes 13 seconds to walk up to the edge to see Marty fall, only to be knocked out cold by Doc's door. Marty then tells Doc that they have to go back to 1955. Doc states that it is unbelievable that Old Biff would have chosen that particular date. That is the coincidence he is referring to not saving Marty the way he did. Doc: Unbelievable that Old Biff could have chosen that particular date. It could mean that point in time inherently contains some sort of cosmic significance. Almost as if it were the temporal junction point for the entire space-time continuum. On the other hand, it could just be an amazing coincidence.

Back to the Future doesnt just predict that, you know. It is difficult to not see the symbolism in this movie. You may think im a crackpot, but just have a look at how this movie, Back to the future, has links to 9/11. Sure, nonsense, i know. But keep in mind that Solzhenitsyn already said ages ago that the entire world media is controlled by those who also committed the crimes in Russia in the time of the Bolsheviks. In other words: The fact that the world media is silent about the enormous crimes committed by the Bolsheviks is proof that the entire world media is in the hands of its perpetrators. Now: The one who produced this movie is part of the team that also produced a movie based on a fictional book, but sold it to the audience as being a true story. Just look into it and you will find what movie im talking about here. Have an open mind. Back to the future clearly depicts a tragedy that is going to happen...... Its not what some want to see. Its actually there. And to deny it is basically denying that propaganda exists. Propaganda does exist. It existed when Goebbels was alive. It did not die when Goebbels died. In other words: Belgian Babies were eaten by Germans, in the first world war. If you can believe that. Sure, im a crackpot. I know. Just look at todays world, and ask yourself this simple question: Who is benefitting from all of it? Is it humanity? Is it black people? White people? Who is? Its not that difficult to see. And no, it aint no Bin Laden or any of his 19 Muslim friends flying any airplanes into buildings, gaining NOTHING in return. NOTHING!!!! They didnt get sympathy They didnt earn any money. They didnt prove anything. THEY GAINED NOTHING. Who did gain money, and sympathy? Lucky Larry Silverstein and his friend Netanyahu. Or didnt they? I dont know what you know, just that now you know how the world works. You may put on the blinders if you want, to stay in the bubble and live life as an illusion. Or you may say: damn, this is not good for the future of humanity and the rest of it. Either way: When the sacrifice of thousands of people is required to get millions of people to fall for another hoax, then in my opinion we could just as well launch them bombs and get it over with. 2 nukes should do the trick to trigger a chain reaction.

The questions I really want to know are these. When Marty went to 2015, why was he not listed as missing for ~26 years when he arrived? An older Marty in 2015 implies that his leaving didn't alter the timeline at all, and that a second Marty magically popped into his timeline replacing him, and continued on as if he never went. Which doesn't fit the themes of the movies. Either that, or else the future already accounts for Marty having gone to 2015, succeeded, returned to 1989, and then lived his life normally until 2015. If that was the case, why wasn't old Marty expecting young Marty, and why couldn't Doc just ask old Marty what to do before going back to get him?
@ItG88232 жыл бұрын
Because Doc would drop him home the second they left but as we know in back to the future things write in the present(hence why he disappeared slowly in the first movie and not intantaniously, which is why future Marty was there in 2015 but as the event was unfolding currently he did not have memories or expirence changes until after current Marty was returned home.
@shugler Жыл бұрын
The question you asked actually leads to a totally different plot hole, but first I will answer your question. The reason the Marty isn't considered missing is actually because when Marty went to the future with Doc, it created a new timeline. Doc saw what Marty's future lived out was and went back to the past to get him to bring him to the original timeline's future. Now we have two Marty's in the future because that life was lived out. It's technically the same concept of how there's multiple Martys and Docs in the second half of the movie when they go back to the past. It kinda breaks the timeline, but it still makes sense within their explanation of how things work...up to a point. Here's where the completely different plot hole comes in. By introducing this dilemma, it totally turns the first movie on its head, especially with the ending. If you recall in the second movie, when Marty goes back to the altered 1985, Biff comments that he thought he was in a boarding school in Switzerland, alluding to the fact that there's two different Martys in this timeline now. Cool, makes sense because it's a alternate timeline. If that's the case however, then at the end of the first movie when Marty alters the timeline to make his parents "better", he should have entered a new timeline with an already existing Marty...where is the Marty of this timeline? That in itself is a HUGE plothole introduced by the second movie, one that I don't think is ever addressed.
@jughead48458 ай бұрын
Wow, how did you not know the answer to this. The Marty of the new timeline at the end of the first movie is the one we see from a distance wearing the hazmat suit and jumping into the delorean.
@starsreflectingskyАй бұрын
@@jughead4845totally agree as long as the writers did that on purpose. They don't have to be aware of string theory to create a storyline that's complicated but I don't think that they really thought through alternate timeline possibilities and all that. Let alone that the time machine can only go backwards and forwards in time but not across timelines or other universes. If they had purposely heard about string theory and design something the way marvel did then that would be super awesome If you look at this movie from the perspective that you can only have a linear travel situation then you can't go in the future without missing for the intervening time. You can go back in the past in a strictly one universe existence with one time line But on the black mirror side of things you have to wonder what that means for everybody's time relativity. I think it would be valid to consider that everybody's time is relative to everybody else's so it could be the case that they continue on regardless of what you do and you would just be absent or present. And if you're absent and then you come back in a single timeline universe then you have a problem.... I think the perception of somebody being able to time travel in a more scientific way.... Something that would be written with today's understandings would look a little bit different and it would be neat if somebody would try it.. The only realistic time travel that you could maybe do on the planet is a centrifuge that spends fast enough that you can get inside of it without being destroyed by G-Force and you would age less in the people outside of the centrifuge. So you could hop in and show up in a future where you were not present and everybody knew you were in the centrifuge. I don't think we have any comprehension even in theory with the mathematics of what it would look like if you can make that centrifuge go faster than the speed of light... We kind of assume that when you reach the speed limit that something unusual might happen but I don't think the math makes any predictions of it let alone how that would affect everything else around it. It wouldn't be able to address how time would function for you versus everybody else and let everybody's individual experience would be if an individual did that. Fun stuff though fun stuff

I don't know... We know that hover tech was invented sometime between 1985 and 2015 so Doc would have had to take a the train on a track blindly into the late 20th or early 21st century. So beside being uncertain that the rail even still exists on the date he needs to get to, the train would need to stay parked there long enough for Doc to hit the town on foot and gather the supplies he needs for the hover conversion. Rail lines are pretty hard to find that existed since the 1890s AND are also traveled so infrequently by rail traffic that he could leave a steam locomotive parked un-noticed long enough to hoof it into town and buy parts. No, if he can build a time machine from 1890s materials, he could build whatever he needed to make it hover as well. I would say that steam powered time machines make hover tech look like child's play. Doc scraped what he could from the buried DeLorean knowing that 1955 Doc would repair it for Marty. From that he fabricated whatever else he needed.
@KuraIthys6 жыл бұрын
But we already know from the plot of the 3rd film that the railway line in hill valley exists in 1985. And doc's already been to 2015, so there's a decent chance (if he has a good memory or has something to help him cheat, like say the equivalent of an ebook reader or whatever) that he knows the condition and layout of the railway lines in hill valley in 2015 or whatever date he needs to get to. The big risk is hitting a train in the future. But if he can avoid that, all he needs to do is get the train onto a siding or somewhere else that doesn't see frequent use, or only has trains entering it at low speed. (trains can in fact stop if they see a visual obstruction if they go slowly enough. - below about 25 mph. - which is the kinds of speeds you get on sidings, freight yards and so on.) If you get lucky and avoid hitting a train, you'll probably be alright. Otherwise... Well... I don't fancy the chances of anyone involved in a crash like that. A large steam engine doing 90 mph appearing out of nowhere? That'll be one hell of a crash.

The Reynolds or you just assume that by 2015 everything flies and the tracks would be there redundant..

The real question is, how did Marty's hearing remain intact after the first 5 minutes of the first film? The explosion alone would have blown his ear drums. 🤔 Unless, that was Doc's original plan: "Find the only human being whose supernatural eardrum strength could survive such a blast..." ...as foretold by the prophecy in The Great Scientist's Almanac of Yore...

I've always wondered why would Doc be in such a panicked rush when returning to Marty in the 'fixed' 1985 time point to implore him to come now as his not yet existent son has a key moment that needs to be changed 30 years from then. Doc, did you forget that having your own time machine literally means you never have to hurry to any point in the past nor the future again? lol They got all the time in the world before then traveling to July 15, 2015 Hill Valley.

@@kevinw712 True. Another diddy that's usually glossed over, is that in part III Marty gives Doc the gift of grief after saving Ms. Clayton, by informing him that the ravine was named after a teacher who fell in... even though the paper Marty read in 1955 stated that he (Doc) was "survived by his beloved Clara". Are we to believe so easily that Doc just so happen to be nearby twice: once by himself and the other with an unwitting Marty? What was Doc doing near the ravine by himself?

@@jochanxwretch I noticed that, but then I realized that Doc was actually supposed to pick Clara up from the station (this obviously skipped his mind after Marty showed up) but we can assume that it didn't skip his mind originally and the meeting still lead to _love at first site_ . This all then begs the question, what happened in original timeline of which neither Doc nor Marty were part. My guess is that, absent Doc, nobody else was available to pick Clara up and she resorted to the same plan of renting/buying the horse and cart that she rent/brought when Doc forgot to pick her up, this time of course Doc wasn't around to save her and... So I guess we can assume that from the moment Doc picked Clara up from the station and the moment Delorian arrived back in 1985 in BTTF III, the ravine remained with it's original Native American name.

Maybe just title the video "DOES Marty die in Back to the Future?"

I always believed that Marty actually helped Doc in making the Time Machine. That if it wasn’t for Marty going back in time to show Doc his invention that he never would have followed through with making it to begin with. Seeing the machine is actually what gave him the motivation to make it for the future. It’s a time loop with no start or finish.
