Honestly, I think Kyle Petty put it best in the interview he did. Danica can run fast laps when she's qualifying, or when she's alone on the track, but with the right training, anyone can do that. Just because you can go fast, doesn't make you a racecar driver. And this is coming from someone who hasn't had anything really against Danica in the past. Honestly, from the stats and performance i've seen, she only seems to finish anywhere near the front at restrictor plate tracks, she can't seem to avoid wrecks, whether she causes them or not, and she doesn't seem to be making a whole lot of friends out on the track. Again, I must reiterate, I don't have anything against Danica as a person, but I just don't see her as a racecar driver. She can go fast, she's proven that. But she can't race.

I'm sorry to all of the Danica fans that think otherwise but, she can't race. I'm not being sexist as I would like to see a woman do well in the Sprint Cup. But, there are more deserving women than her (Johanna Long comes to mind). A majority of her accidents are her fault and could have been avoided with some fundamental skills. She seems to lose all situational awareness during The Big Ones and ends up turning into someone else when she would have made it through if she held her line. She frequently overdrives her car and while spinning does not know how to save the car and minimize the damage. She has been in NASCAR for over 3 years and has not gotten better. Maybe if she would come out of denial and begin to realize that sometimes she is at fault she will get better. But, until then she won't and I don't foresee it happening because she's been like this her whole career. You can't fix your mistakes until you admit them. I hope Stewart-Haas realizes the mistake they are making.

The best was the NW at Daytona. I would money there was absolutely nothing wrong with that car but the media and Jamie Little never followed up on it. In fact, we heard nothing else about it that entire weekend or ever since. Patrick did not bother coming back out to the track. All that work by her crew down the toilet. Year 3 in NASCAR and she's learned next to nothing nor does she seem to care as I would think she'd want to get back out for the seat time if nothing else - if she was really trying to learn

You're right, nothing was wrong with the car. She in fact hit the kill switch and thought she blew a motor. She was also suppose to run a lot more than 2 races in NW for Tuner Scott last season, how ever she was silently axed (it should have been a major story) from their driver line up after her Dega episode. Apparently she had some nasty things to say about Kyle Larson over that incident and it was basically the straw that broke the camels back. Either way, I had a found respect for that team choosing sanity over GoDaddy dollars.

I've raced for 30 years. I like a slightly loose car. A lot of drivers like a loose car, some not so much. Danica can't drive a loose car at all. It looks like only about 25%, if that, were actually driver errors. All the others were someone getting into her or mechanical issues which are out of her hands. It makes one kind of a tard for assuming all the wrecks are her fault. Especially when she is hit by another drivers error or a blown tire in her car which she has no control over. Gamer Nick Look at her stats. 128 starts in Cup 0 wins, 0 top5's, 6 top10's (only one on average every 21 events) only 49 lead lap finishes, and a best points finish of 24th. Add to that she has world class championship equipment and that fewer than 35 teams run the full season. She is in the bottom 1/3rd of the field despite driving some of the best stuff in Nascar. She fucking sucks and statistically is the worst driver on the track. I stand by what I originally said.

So not all of these crashes were her fault and others were crashes in practice. If you made a video of the crashes she causes in the races then it would be a very short video. In practice you drive as hard as you can and sometimes you make mistakes, it happens to all drivers. Even in races some of the most experienced drivers get involved in accidents that they could avoid, you only have a split second to decide where to go. If the rear of the car steps out then it is very difficult to get it back and if you are on the marbles on the outside then you are just a passenger. She may not have the best car control but she is probably not the worst out there or she wouldn't be in the sport.

If anything, not only is it your fault, it's also worse than crashing in the actual race because in practice you're not fighting for every inch you can get, you're just driving the car, seeing how it behaves in traffic, and seeing what lap time you can lay down. You don't drive as hard as you can in practice, practice is for fine tuning and collecting data. First clip: She hit the killswitch. What makes this pathetic is that the killswitch today is a tab that you must make a conscious effort to trigger since it has to be pulled out to function. Not only that, she somehow didn't realize that she hit the killswitch (Again, conscious effort required). Second clip: Yes, the tire blew out. But what causes blown tires at Phoenix? Melting the bead off the tire. What causes that? Driving too hard and using too much brake, ergo, her fault. And before you counter with "Jimmie did the same thing", yes he did, but unlike Danica, Jimmie had a legitimate reason to be driving as hard as he was: he was trying to keep up with Brad to stay in championship contention. Danica was running laps down outside the top 20, there was no reason to be driving that hard in the position she was in. Third clip: How is this not her fault? She tried to divebomb Kenny Schrader, fails, and takes herself out. Fourth clip: This was indeed a racing incident, I will give you that. Fifth clip: She took herself out. Had she held her line like the car behind her Scott Speed did, she would've made it through unscathed. Instead she panics, turns right, and unnecessarily takes out Terry Labonte. Sixth clip: Again, how is this not her fault? She overdrove the corner and pancaked the side of her car. Darlington may be a tough place for rookies, but the worst they usually do it scrape up the car requiring minor cosmetic repairs, she ruined the car completely. Not only that, this was in PRACTICE, again, you don't drive as hard as you can in practice. Sixth clip: This also was a racing incident. Seventh clip: She wheel hopped and spun herself out. The only person at fault when a car wheel hops is the driver, especially when they try to turn while wheel hopping. Eighth clip: She spun out because she caused her tire to go flat by riding the curbs excessively, her fault for doing so. Ninth clip: Again, how is this not her fault? The commentators are full of shit. She didn't get turned, she turned left unnecessarily and caused a big wreck which tore up several race cars. Tenth clip: There are absolutely no words for how monumentally stupid this move was. Even you Danicamanians can't possibly make any excuses for this. She flat out misses her braking zone, either due to ineptness or a lapse in concentration, and hooks Travis Kvapil which in turn causes him to hook Ricky Stenhouse. This was 100% her fault. Eleventh clip: Again, 100% her fault, except this time it was because of her lack of car control. Twelfth clip: How is this not her fault? Not only did she decide to make an erratic move which caused the wreck, it was the first turn of the first lap. Give me a fucking break. Thirteenth clip: She failed to break in time which caused the bad entry to pit road, how is that not her fault? Fourteenth clip: Same clip as above, different angle. Same reason applies. Fifteenth clip: She drove in too deep and spun herself out with no one else around her. 100% her fault. Also in practice. Sixteenth clip: This one might be her fault, might not be. Can't say for sure, but her accident avoidance skills need serious work. That's 12 incidents out of 15 that were clearly her fault and another that may or may not be. Not to mention that her current wrecking percentage in the Cup Series alone is somewhere in the range of 44% to 46%. By contrast, Juan Pablo Montoya, the guy everyone always gave shit for tearing up race cars, had a wrecking percentage in the low 20s. Finally, do not try to say "Jeff Gordon wrecked a lot in his rookie season". That much is true, but when Jeff wrecked he was solidly in the top 15 or top 10. He was fast, he just needed to develop better car control. Danica wrecks when she's running in the 20s and 30s. Not only does her car control need serious work, she is insultingly slow week in and week out. Yes she does have a few good finishes, but those are the exception, not the rule. To be successful in the Cup Series, good finishes have to be the rule and bad ones need to be the exception.

This aint even the dumbest things she's done (although the kill switch might be close). I'm all for female drivers but I think nascar should ban Danica from their events. Better to upset her fanbase than ruin races with her incompetence. And really, I'm surprised more women aren't upset at her rise to fame. She didn't become main-stream because of her driving abilities, it was because of her gender and sex appeal. If sex appeal is your key to success, use those attributes in relevant professions and leave the racing to skilled men and women. This goes for Kyle Bush too.

You must be watching a different video. 1st clip: completely her fault, she hit the damn killswitch by mistake (had no idea she hit/didn't have the brains to check if she hit it) and thought she blew the engine. By the time the crew figured it out she was about to be put a 6th lap down. Considering it was only a part time deal with Turner Scott and that it was an NW race there was no point in her returning to the track. 2nd clip: Again, her fault. What this clip doesn't show, was the lap or 2 before she got into another car which caused a tire rub, instead of pitting she continued on. 3rd clip: racing deal. 4th clip: Larson did wreck her, good for him. 5th clip: Her fault. If she had held her line she would have made it through without a scratch, hell watch Scott Speed the car directly behind her, he holds his line and makes it through without incident. Danica made an unneeded move to the right and took out Terry Labonte for no reason. 6th clip: She was all alone, and it was during practice. How is this one not her fault? She over drove the corner and put herself in the wall. 7th clip: racing deal 8th clip: She missed her breaking point, wheel hopped and spun herself out. 9th clip: flat tire, probably from riding the curbs excessively. 10th clip: She turned down, I'm not sure what she was even thinking. Watch the replay again and pay attention this time. 11th clip: The video speaks for itself. One of the worst moves I've ever seen a "professional" driver make. If you don't think this one was 100% her fault then you're blind. 12th clip: She flat out lost it and took out 3 other cars with her. Her car control is very suspect. 13th clip: First turn, first lap... come on. How anyone can defend her is beyond me. 14th/15th clip: We both agree it's her fault. 16th clip: Over drove the corner, all by herself in practice. Put herself in the wall to boot. 17th clip: All I'm going to say on this one is that her accident avoidance skills are pathetic. As far as her showing any improvement, she hasn't. It's all the same shit with her, just a different year. Her average finish last year was around 26th-27th, guess what, it's still right around 26th-27th. 53 wrecks in just 123 starts, she sucks.

Also if you paid closer attention you'd know the majority of the time she wrecks because she puts herself into compromising positions on the track. It also doesn't help that she can't hold a consistent line and above all her car control is an absolute joke. The majority of the wrecks in her career have been a direct result of her TURNING DOWN (or drifting up) on other drivers in the corner. She seems to think that she is entitled to every inch of track and that others better cut her slack... fuck that, she gets what she deserves... the wall.

I love how people who post on this page love to pull the sexist card whenever someone criticizes her driving skills. Her entire career is based on the fact that she's an attractive female but when someone points that out, we become sexist pigs. She has only lasted this long because she's popular and attracts lucrative sponsorship deals. She's never been successful at any level of racing. I also find it funny how the announcers have to cover for her to tow the company line and they always wax on about her gaining "valuable experience".

So the xfinity cars are about 50x harder to drive than a Indy car and a cup car is about 50x harder to drive than a xfinity car. So if you can’t win in a Indy car you won’t have a chance. She won in Japan which is a race people don’t go real hard in so that’s not actually a win really. But when she couldn’t drive the xfin car I knew she wouldn’t have a chance in the cup car but she got the job over a number of qualified females. I have 5 daughters and 1 son all race. Danica made it difficult on the girls at the lower series to get sponsorship because they all ask if they really are qualified or are they just getting a ride for political climate reasons. Now the Indycar they took down force away in 2018ish even a few years +/- a couple. Notice Danica wrecked her last Indycar race because they made the cars a little bit harder to drive in the Indy series and she couldn’t handle them after that. If you see the Indy cars the last few years now they have made them a little more difficult again so she could no longer keep up. A stock car people don’t understand when you only have enough downforce to keep the car out of the grandstands you can’t just be a phony. So many females didn’t get the job because they were not willing to get naked for the cameras as Danica was. Her parents gave her everything she wanted and she has that entitled personality.
