I think what's mind boggling to me is that this man has a whole wife and kid. Where as I just turned 19, I'm SEVERAL years younger than him, yet some of my core memories are playing battlefront 2 and the Sims 2 w my brother on our Playstation. Thank you for making me remember that.

Sims 2 and 1 were the best Sims, their expansion packs were fun additions instead of integral parts of the game carved out and sold to the consumer. Plus with mods in sims2 there was no reason for dlcs

Damn, i am surprised at how well it holds up, never played the sims apart from 4, simply because it wasnt big here, and even then it felt lifeless at times, it's cool to just see how strong these were :D

sims 2 was the better game, sims 3 the better life sim, sims 4 the best for building and looking pretty. each one has its strenghts.

I offer a challenge! Make a Sim who qualifies for as many Scholarships as possible. This means The Sim might need to be played since a toddler and maybe be an alien, or have an alien family. Then get the best grades without assisting to a single class, join the secret society, fall in love, be the most popular. Dunno go crazy trying to achieve as many crazy things at University.

I own the Deluxe Edition legit through EA and it's not a piracy thing, it's an issue with the game and modern hardware. Can be fixed with a mod though.
