I just got a pair of this, a recovery shoe, but still had one of my fastest 5km runs in this shoe, it felt easy & fun to run in, & i had no issue with heel slipping, when using runners knot, & i have had no issue so far with heat, in warm weather condition. I feel like it is a versatile shoe.

I love my invincible 3’s. I also had the 1&2 ‘s. They were much softer and bouncier and had Gusseted tongues. Injury proof shoes and surprisingly versatile.

I would agree that they are surprisingly versatile. Bummed I never tried v1 or v2.

I had 3 pairs of the Invincible v1 and loved them for easy runs. The v3 was on sale at my local Nike outlet for $80, but when I tried them on, I experienced major heel slip so bought a pair of NB More V4's on clearance instead.

That’s a bummer. I haven’t had that issue at all with this shoe. At least you didn’t buy them at full price.

Good review! I really liked version 1 of Invincible - It was one of my favorite shoes. The version 3 was a little bit of a disappointment. Upper felt a little bit weird and heel slippage was bothering me. Glad you are enjoying the shoe!

I have yet to have heel slippage which is weird. I know that is common with the 3 but haven’t had any issues.

I have no issue with heel slipping when using the runners knot.

I might get these towards fall...can't get them now as I like sleeping in the bed. I've got the asics superblasts and just got the adidas sl2...so I'm gonna rock those for a bit. Would love to try and add these though. Plus these nikes just look so dang good!

Tried running in these for fast intervals and it started to cause ankle pain . It’s much better for a recovery run but a little to much rocker to just walk in

That’s the one difficult thing about reviewing shoes. It’s subjective to each runner and just because it works for me means it will work for you. Still a great recovery shoe though!

Veil i do need some more runs in these shoes, my initial impression is it can be a versatile shoe, in fact i had one of my fastest 5km runs in this shoe, i have not tested it in an interval session.

Seeing the 3's and Vomero 17 at great price discounts. Have you ran in the Vomero's? Not sure which one to get for getting in daily miles. Currently running in Novablast 3.

I have never run in the vomero but believe that is probably the better shoe for daily miles. I have a feeling I’m in the minority using the invincible as an up-tempo daily trainer.

I have both, and I prefer the invincible. I'm heavier, so I really like the extra bounce and cushion they provide. I use the vomero like a daily and the invincible as a slower recovery shoe. I don't use either for any uptempo. You really have to try them both, the invincible is a divisive shoe.

Everyone say the same thing: That soft midsole exposes you to rough terrain, and some worry about it bottoming out. Not as durable as Asics

The bottoming out got a lot worse after 200 miles. By 300 it got really bad 😂 ASICS definitely has better options around that price point.

The test in breathability is 4 out of 5. You run in a terrain with small rocks. Pinpointing that, its irrelevant, that's not a road to trail shoe! About the price, well its common to buy the invincible's at half of the full retail price, after 6 months. And if you have other shoes you can wait more time... The price drops even more!

I don’t get that feeling with this shoe. I’ve had some heavy shoes that start to feel heavy after some time on feet, but these are not one of those shoes.

I have 5 pairs of these I love them but the way I run they where out pretty fast

Just picked up my second pair! There are a few areas of rubber that are wearing quicker than usual, but should still be good for up to 400 miles.
