I had the Mr. T Deluxe jewelry set that came with a lot more chains & medallions than the regular one. I also had those American Ninja toys, and you're right! The little sucker stars never stuck to anything.

I liked the Kojak rack toy pack you showed. I was too young to remember this in stores. I remember buying a Marvel Secret Wars handcuff set rack pack at the Dollar General Store in the late 80's for 50 cents. They were made of bright bright orange plastic with stickers on them with Spider-Man, Captain America, and a few other characters. I didn't have them very long and they broke, lol.

I actually got my original collection of Playmates Star Trek figures at Woolworths! lol The strangest rack toy I got as a kid was a gun and cuff set from the show Hunter. They were so damn cheap that they broke fast, not to mention that the gun didn't even fire caps. Not to mention, I remember Hunter being on pretty late for kids and usually in the middle of the week. I don't think a lot of kids even saw the show, let alone wanted the gun and cuff set because it had Hunter on the front.

2:41 I can see how you thought those were some sort of tooth pulling tool. But they're old fashioned hair trimmers. Like electric hair clippers today, except these operated like scissors. By squeezing the handle open and close, you move the teeth back and forth on the head/blade. They're notorious for pulling hair.

Planet of the apes. "Monkey shines" , now that was some great advertising. I remember even as a kid back in the olden times seeing those items and thinking what the hek who would buy those things . Now I would buy them just for the nostalgic laughs. A recent purchase of mine was The land of the lost game I found in a thrift store sadly incomplete but in time I may hunt for the missing parts. That could be an entire segment for you cheesy games from past pop culture movies and tv . Very similar to the rack toys most have little to do with the actual show but a big picture on the box.

Yeah the Monkey Shines is a flashlight. You push the side and a tiny bulb up top lights up. I remember a rack toy my mom got us ATeam walkie talkie with a string attached. I remember the lone so short we had to close a door to hear it work. I remember being amazed that it actually worked! Basically a plastic version of two cups and a string

I remember back when the lost world was out in addition to the Kenner toys you Would get these Trex and other dinosaurs figures that had a keychain attached and had a gimmick where you could see the "bones'" if you held it under warm water. They where ok despite being keychains and small dino figures. The T-Rex one did make a nice baby rex to reenact the trailer scene with

One thing l could never understand is when they would make a toy car or plane part of a franchise they take the toy and put a sticker on it. A uh-1 helicopter becomes a A-Team helicopter because it has a label on it that says " The A-Team". I don't recall any helicopter that Murdock flew/crashed/scammed/stole having a sign on it that said "The A-Team".

For Kojak first thing I thought was bald head. I knew this video would have a stamp set!!!!! I had a Dick Tracy ID Wallet, badge, gun, and cuffs. Never saw any Dick Tracy in 1985. I had the Mr.T jewelry set but mine had an ID bracelet. My local Dollar General had a fancy American Ninja play set, with Katana, chuks, head band, and stars.

You know, all the crap you seen in the 80s, even today really… The jumping jacks that, the paddleboard with the string and rubber ball bubble blower with Juan, the knock off G.I. Joe guys with the back of the cardboard blank brown, The action cop said with pistol handcuffs and badge and holster, The captains restock in the little gun powder clips in your six shooter, rubber dinosaus loose- like six different ones to choose from, The parachute guys can throw off your Partman building balcony or roof of your house or tree fort, cowboys and Indians 1 inch plastic figures, the imitation go bots, etc etc .... you should do a video of now and then… Maybe even do a live portion for the now??
