If this is new to you I recommend starting with this video 1st Dimensional Analysis for Beginners kzbin.info/www/bejne/inTFk4Kdq5uEf68 then watch this one afterward.

Your step by step teaching and your going through each problem are the clearest and easiest to understand. By far the best out there. Thank you.

Just to clarify: when I say do the math/put it in your calculator I mean multiply the numerator (top numbers), then multiply your denominator (bottom numbers). Then divide the numerator total by the denominator total.

You have the best teaching videos of these by far! I'm starting nursing school in January and trying to get a heads up with the basics. I have a medical background as a Radiologic Technologist so that'll help me a lot I hope, but I'm still nervous. Will be watching more of your videos, thanks!

Just double checking...the second problem you did, I got 1.98. Your answer said 2 tablets...I assume you just round to a whole tablet...right? Pretty sure it's implied but you just didn't mention it. Does that happen often - that the answer is just a teensy bit off from a whole number and you just round up/down?
@prettymuchthe14 ай бұрын
You have to round your answer to have the same number of significant figures as your given has.

So the questions where it's mL/hour over an IV drip. It said she's giving a 50mL dose. Wouldn't that overdose him? Or would the nurse take it away after 30 mins?

What do I do when it asks for how many teaspoons to give
@myrat24164 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you do this but I have an equation that I'd like to double check with you. The text answer is 2.08ml/min and my answer is 1.38 ml/min. This text has had several incorrect answers so I just want to make sure. Here is the question: KcL 10mEq and K Acetate 15 mEq in D5W 1000 mL is ordered to be administered over 8 hours. What would the rate be in mL/min? Since we are looking for mL/min, this is how I set up the equation: 1000 mL x 10 mEq x 1 hr ______________________ 15 mEq x 8 hrs x 60 min Thank you.

When you say “now we just do the math, punch it in your calculator or do it in your head.” What math? Are you multiplying straight across? I watched your first video and I’m still not sure what to do after I set it up.
