head canon: the teacher's a bit intimidating and strict but harmless, it's just that through the eyes of our protag, he's absolutely terrifying. for an example, at 0:48, if he was actually angry at her, he wouldn't just be walking with a smile on his face. plus, her classmates were clearly chatting about him, with rumors of the teacher being a 'saboteur'. making her scared of him for no reason.

I like that the kids are represented as demons and the teacher is demonstrated as an angel because in the real world kids are mostly regarded as wrong while adults are right. Even when that’s not the case, it’s still the lens people see through. This is probably not be the animator’s exact intention but I like making little connections.

The art for this is just incredible, and I love the storytelling/worldbuilding you've made from this song. From what I understand, demons can have give their children a chance into Heaven, provided they receive the proper education/re-education along the way. In this system, there must be a flawed perspective on how truely evil a demon is, sort of like a sins of the father trope where otherwise innocent demon kids are treated horribly in the school. It's even noted in the song that the staff is actively making the education impossible to understand, and giving punishments for seemingly no reason. Could be the aftermeantioned bias. Even when our main character gets an answer right, she's told she cheated, so it's a lose-lose. Mabey the staff are just cruel people who got into Heaven, or perhaps they think they are kind people who are doing a just and right job stopping demons from entering Heaven. Also, a last point I noticed from the song. It appears failure to graduate results in death or eternal damnation because of one reason or another, it it provides an even darker edge to the story.
