I think the order of importance is, VVD, Salah and then Trent. People forget when Salah went to the African Nations for about 2 months Liverpool didn't lose a game. But when Van Dijk had that really bad injury, Liverpool struggled the whole season.

It may not even be FSG’s fault, this could be a case of Trent having his head turned or deciding when Klopp left that it was the end. But don’t pretend losing Trent isn’t a massive loss. He’s the best passer of the ball in the world, full stop. What he doesn’t do defensively, he makes up for ten fold in opening up the pitch with his passing range. As a massive red who goes the game, I’m sad Trent might be moving on, but more for him. Yes he’ll have a great career at Real, but reds fans will treat him much like McManaman, he’s considered a great former player, but there’s not much love for him in the city.

The trap Liverpool would be wise to avoid is the one Man City find themselves in and United as well in the past. Having a team that is too old and I am sure they are looking at the data to help steer some of the decisions. Salah is a fine player but anything more than a one year extension would be foolish. I like to think I know a thing or two about football, but I also like to think Michael Edwards, et al. know a hell of a lot more. I'm sure there are hundreds of things that go into running a football club are unknown to me. FSG may have started out shaky, but overall they've been superb owners. So while I'd like to see all three players stay, I have enough faith in FSG to prevent any panic from setting in.

I think VVD is the most irreplaceable. While Salah of course is hard to replace I think keeping the defensive stability is most important, lose that and in turn salah has less chances to attack. Trent seems the easiest to replace since his responsibilities can be shared between other players. But a lot of people moan about FSG, I’ll be more concerned if it seems like they completely throw out their wage structure, I do trust them in their financial decisions, if any contracts aren’t signed I’m inclined to think the players were asking for an insane amount that probably threatened the stability Liverpool has had since FSG came in

I don't know why this bothers everyone so much. FSG havd always gone about their business quietly. Nobody knew Jurgen was renewing his contract until he announced it, likewise with Salah, again until the "Salah stays" moment we knew nothing. Salah is taking the spotlight off Trent. Trent being the younger of the three, Virgil, Mo and himself is the one who there should be most speculation about but they're all talking about Mo. Its bothering rival supporters as mucb as Liverpools but only because they're hoping they'll all go.

As a Liverpool fan, I think Salah and VVD will stay for another season or two, and Trent will leave.
