@bruhman444519 күн бұрын
Goldbridge says it towards the beginning of the video... Klopp built massive depth within Liverpool that Arsenal simply doesn't have. Without Saka (or Sterling... but no one talks about that), we don't have a left-footed right winger. Not saying it's not Arteta's fault for not recognizing this possibility earlier, but you simply can't say there's "no excuse." At the end of the day, top 4 is not winning the league, which is Arsenal's objective.

Sakas injury was due to malpractice on arsenals part. Crossing the ball the way he did RARELY ever sees a high grade 2 injury. Unless you already have a grade 1 tear. Which he suffered back in oct for England. 2 weeks after the injury he plays 85 minutes against Liverpool. Then Plays against Preston (god knows why), Newcastle, inter, and Chelsea in just 14 days after suffering a hamstring injury. Hes also come off twice since then holding his hamstring. Last season as well he had hamstring issues that kept him out vs man city ect. So he has clearly been dealing with a hamstring issue and yet he continues to play week in week out. Which is why he ultimately severely injured himself from something as measly as crossing the ball. Its not just the amount of games on the fixture list but these managers aren't giving their players a rest. KDB tore his hamstring in the ucl final because of this. Played on a grade 1 tear for weeks until it finally gave out.

Usually agree with you for the most part but Arsenal SHOULD be favourites for the title after city have collapsed. No one had Liverpool even close to competing for the title before the season started. It was City and Arsenal. Arsenal have underperformed massively and it sounds like you’re making excuses for them. Every single team has the same issues they’ve got and it’s down to the manager to deal with the adversity and continue to get the points on the board. The fact they’re not clear of any other team in the league is a joke considering they were the favourites alongside city and are what 5 seasons and hundreds of millions into Arteta’s ‘project’.

I don't think it matters that much with Saka out for a few months... what's important is the team (the engine) firing on all cylinders and for me, that's beginning to happen. It's a slow start this year with many problems but, I think a good showing this Christmas will set them up for the rest of the new year. It's not how you start, it's how you finish and further, I don't think City are done yet. Just a quick point (note), you have to look at the context of Arsenal's performance this year... injuries of key players and the two red cards have made a massive difference for motivation and further, momentum. With all that said, it's great to see a club other than City on top and I wish Liverpool good luck however, whatever you do, don't right off Arsenal because I believe they're just getting started. @geronimo959520 күн бұрын
The issue isn't there is too much football. Instead it's that managers consistently overplay their best players and burn them out. They need to rotate their squads more and rest their star players more often. The best managed teams have great backup players who can slot into the teams system with a minimal dropoff. Teams with weaker squads need to focus on training up & integrating their backup players instead of overplaying their best players and hoping they don't fall apart. Because when their best players inevitably break the fall off when the inexperienced backups take over derails the season.

Credit to Liverpool and Chelsea they’ve ripped it apart so far this season! A lot of football to be played! However, this is exactly what we wanted as football fans..more competition in the title race including Forest and Bournemouth incredible scenes if they can keep their positions! But most of all, COYG!!
@devannaicker953720 күн бұрын
However unlikely it may seem, is there a shout of Forest, Bournemouth or Villa finishing in the Champions League spot. Everything seems possible now that Saka is injured.
@MichaelHattem20 күн бұрын
Of course you can't replace Saka but Arsenal can play Martinelli, Jesus, or Sterling on the right. So it's not like going from Saliba to Holding. Those three will have to step up if they want to still be in the race when Saka returns in February and both Martinelli and Jesus are just now coming into form after long dry spells so it could be worse. The injury to Odegaard was more harmful because there was no direct replacement for him.
@VAN_XELA20 күн бұрын
Why don’t anyone take an actual look into stats to predict how much a loss of a player will affect the team? I’d say without Saka they will look to drop an average of 3-4 points a month till he is back, given his importance in the games leading up to his injury

Liverpool was like this last season till January and feb and fell off.
@franciskisembo645020 күн бұрын
But that is not a weakness now. Rather it is their strength. Players like Vandijk, TAA, MacAllister, Robertson, Konate and MoSalah 👑 know the pain they felt losing in the run-in. Instead now they will use it as a springboard.

As a Liverpool fan I'm worried about our run in especially our last four games in May (Chelsea Away, Arsenal Home, Brighton Away, Palace Home).
@Hdex202420 күн бұрын
Tbh as a Chelsea fan our run in is quite tough as well. I doubt we will make that 7pt jump. Although I think we will win the next 5. They are very winnable. Liverpool still too good.
@adambelfast120 күн бұрын
We have Tottenham as well, so that's our last 5. I know we just beat them, but I still wouldn't take that fixture lightly.
@yeahyeahblah20 күн бұрын
@@adambelfast1 You're right, I didn't even check April. If Liverpool go deep in the Champions League as well then there's no "easy" games and any potential injuries could really derail the end of our season.

Is it the number of games or the intensity of the games today thats the problem? How much more is the average player (for a club in a continental competition) playing now compared to 10 years ago? Or 20? United has been playing between 50 and 60 games per season pretty consistently for the last +30 seasons.

As an LFC fan, I still believe Chelsea are more deserving of respect than this chat is giving them. Most of my LFC mates feel Chelsea are definitely going to be our greatest challengers this season (Despite the hiccup at Everton).

Ok now as a liverpool fan im 95% sure we win the league, arsenal being 9 points behind us if we win our game in hand sounds a lot but if we got a couple injuries and they kept everyone fit for the rest of the season id fear they could catch us, id of still given them only 15% chance then but saka out for that long they just don’t have enough goals in the team. Outside of corners i dont see a single player scoring 10+ goals in their squad other than saka but liverpool have 3/4 players capable of 10+ and a better defence

i have actually got into your content this year but talking about too many fixtures and than saying forest beating brentford is the biggest shock is a bit silly. like fair play to forest but brentford was just given three games in six days, something european clubs don't even understand, because they somewhat get moved around, brentford and palace got fully screwed because they are brentford and palace and no one would understand that haha

At what point do we acknowledge Salah surpassing Henry? The stats speak for themselves, but the nostalgia merchants can’t accept it
@IIIIIIIIII-w4m19 күн бұрын
Stats wise, he will likely surpass him but that does not make him a better player. If you have never watched Henry play then you cannot answer that question. The goodness of a player isn't based on just stats.

Liverpool still very much favorites but second half of the season games against the lessor teams when they are fighting for something like avoiding relegation,top 8 and so on might cost them especially when they draw alot of then,chelsea everton has shown the blueprints of how to stop them so smaller teams will do that more Arsenal need an attacker but even without they will challenge all the way upto may

It’s bad news yes, but Martinelli can go right or left, we have some good youth players coming in, we will be there or there abouts in May. I personally would like to see them get a new striker. Be aware we only drew with Liverpool due to once again a corrupt VAR decision.

4 goalscorers yestrerday. Reliant on Salah? No. Just because he scores/assists 60% of Liverpool's goal contributions it doesnt mean without him were down 60%. That is not how that works.
