Players requesting a trade means nothing in this league teams aren't just going to trade you just cuz you don't want to play there. There has to be either really good compensation available or a situation so bad that they're willing to eat your dead cap and I believe Adam's has a contract that is worth $120 million dollars... Highly doubt the owner of the raiders is willing to eat up that cap because you don't like losing. So somebody has to come with a big deal Or this isn't really news.

As a Commies fan, let me say this - I don't want Davante. I'm not denying that he's insanely talented and productive. But this is his second messy divorce with a team in a short timeframe. We've had 25 years of ownership that thought of itself as Big Name Hunters. McLaurin and the group we have here are all humble and selfless. McLaurin has been criminally under-targetted during this early 3-1 start and has been asked whether it bothers him or he's impatient. Far from it. He's confident his targets will come, and knows being a little b---h about targets would distract the young kid from learning his progressions and such. I can't see Adams that way. There's another reason - we're still in year 1 of a rebuild. The defense is a disaster. I don't want to blow the draft capital and cap space to overinvest at WR...when the offense is already pretty damn good. What we need is a big time corner or edge rusher. Adams would surely make a good offense better...or would it? Would the need to feed a big name WR make them run less? Or throw less intelligently as they try to cram it in where they don't have a numbers advantage? I'd rather let Adam Peters build it own patiently. We don't need the pretty chrome trophy in year 1. We got time.
