This is a learning moment to never take anything that happens in the preseason to be a portent of the future. The Brady led Patriots would lose 3-4 preseason games all the time, but they always dominated in the regular season. Bro did u actually watch? Until they put Mike white in they just ran the ball trying to chew the clock. The defense was literally so bad that half the time they ran it they ended up scoring. Not an exaggeration. The deep pass from Mike white in the fourth is a little questionable but keep in mind that’s a backup and a practice squad player trying to earn reps and put good reps on tape. We deserved every single point they scored on us.

How so? Russ wasn't the problem. His stats weren't bad at all. It was the defense giving up 70 FREAKING POINTS in one of the biggest blowouts in NFL history. That Wilson actually managed to keep the offense on the field with a decent performance was the only reason Mike White didn't put up another touchdown (or two/three) in garbage time to take the all-time record. The defense deserves 100% of the blame here.

In 1977 I was resident of Illinois and a St Louis Football Cardinals fan. The worst NFL butt whipping I have seen was on Thanksgiving Day 77. Dolphins smoked STL in STL 55-14. Bob Griese threw 6 TD passes, he only threw the ball like 26 times. II have remembered that for over 40 yrs. I’ve been a Bronco fan since I moved here in 84. This is now easily the worst loss I’ve ever seen.

The worst loss I had ever seen was when the Seahawks beat the Cardinals 58-0 in 2012. Even though the point differential was higher in that game, it doesn't even come close to the level of beat down I witnessed today. The Dolphins very obviously let them off the hook in the 4th quarter, I honestly think they could have scored 84 if they really wanted to. The Broncos defense actually looked like a div 2 college team against an fcs juggernaut. I have never seen anything like it in an NFL game before. Brandon nailed it when he pointed out that their best defensive player allowed a 60 yd touchdown from a backup qb to a guy who just came off the practice squad. What an incredible massacre, I don't think I'll ever witness a game more one-sided in the NFL for as long as I live.
