I'm pretty sure Galvatron has been confirmed as a redeco of the Kingdom/Legacy mold, and Cyclonus is almost certainly the same as Kingdom as well, just hopefully without the yellowing. And if they make a Unicron that's seen as superior to the Haslab in any way, the backers will pitch a fit.

Why would you assume those things when all of the other SS86 versions have all had significant upgrades and retooling? Everybody was dismissive of the new Springer until we got him in hand, and it turned out they did a lot of work on him. Now imagine a Galvatron with even better proportions. Imagine him getting the SS86 Optimus/Rodimus treatment, especially compared to Earthrise Optimus.

I've got the Netflix one (I was super-lucky and got it when a shop chain in the UK randomly found some stock and put them up at retail on their website about 18 months ago). I love it, other than the forearms, which really really annoy me. If they'd taken away those fugly siege holdover skid things, and used that amount of plastic on each side to just make covers for those huge gaping holes, it would improve the figure immeasurably. Those gaps are just WAY too prominent and you find yourself posing him with the intent to hide those foremost in your mind, which takes away some of the really nice ways he could pose for me. I also agree on the back being a bit of a mess. It's interesting, because other than the feet not having a fold in them, and sharing almost the same engineering, the Core Class Soundwave actually somehow looks better from the back than this does.

I got a tip for tabbing in the feet to the panel on the back of the leg easier! Leave the foot out just a little bit so the peg on the panel can catch the inner edge of the peg hole as it swings down

Buzzsaw also has a peg on his underside that you can fold out and it fits in any 5mm port, including the ones on Soundwave's arms. Much more secure perch than the grooves. I just fold his legs up to do this since the peg is otherwise not long enough for his legs to be deployed while connected. This is my first and only copy of this mold and I'm pretty satisfied. Who doesn't want Soundwave and Most Of His Little Guys?

Great review, as always! I bought this specifically to replace my yellowed NF Soundwave and for Buzzsaw. Honestly, I hate the flat gray that replaced all the metallic silver on the original. Looks like I'm going to have to tear them both down and Frankenstein one together with the non- yellow legs and the silver parts. PAIN!!!

I don't think I've bought a soundwave since action master's but I missed that rumble too and the price for him with postage is nuts (seriously over 20 euro ) so this is a handy way of getting him with 3 other toys for about 60 quid . I don't really like Hasbros habit of selling voyagers with kibble as leaders but in this case I think I'll bite as I wanna leave my G1 soundwave in his box and this lad will do for the G1 shelf 😊

I'm lucky enough to have found the original Netflix version and it has the same problem of the arms not staying connected in tape recorder mode, so what I like doing instead is to rotate the forearms so the pointless landing gear is facing backwards, you can even store one of the tapes (not Rumble/Frenzy though) on there

if the pegs dont work well on this figure, take a bit heat than peg them together until it cools down. i fixed my netflix soundwave by using a hair dryer... the grey plastic on this figure is very soft, so this trick works.

I'm glad i pre-ordered this guy at Gamestop since both of my Walmarts decided to completely do away with the leaser classes all together (both Legacy & Studio Series leaders are completely gone with no shelf tag whatsoever after they cleareanced out Blitzwing & SS86 Sludge) while my local Target has Dragon Megs & Skyquake shelfwarming so i doubt he'll be stocked there. It is kinda ironic, though, that I'll never see this at walmart, just like with the Netflix version

I have the Netflix version. I’ve had him for something like three years now, and he doesn’t seem to have yellowed much/at all. Though, since I got him, Laserbeak has never been able to properly store in his chest. Ravage goes in perfectly fine, but the bird seems to stop the door from locking in.

The Netflix issue of megatron is just shy of leader price and tbh that’s the definitive version with being the only silver megatron. Albeit he is more than voyager for having 2 micro masters

The siege is a bit beefier, kind of think it might be a better value. Plus, they really should have improved the boom box mode. It looked fine for the time, but compared to kingdom/legacy/86 Blaster, it looks really unfinished to me. I'm really on the fence with this figure and I can't decide, should I get the Siege with the worse alt-mode but buffer robot mode and cheaper price, or the Earthrise/Legacy with the more accurate but iffy alt-mode and half his cassettes?
