A pro mod would pass you at that distance so fast it is impossible to keep it in focus lol. Whoever piped up about that hasn’t been to the race track when pro mods are running. I’d like finish line video, the camera would focus plenty fast I think and it could be interesting shots.

I definitely know how you feel filming trackside, I film with friends in Australia 🇦🇺 at about the 100ft mark using a tripod, it’s next level and hard to describe unless you’ve done it, especially when a Top fuel car flys past you 😅 no time to duck if anything goes bad, definitely hard to keep the cars in frame all the time 💯
