@@thatvideogamesshow Its a real shame, originally Illbleed and Blue Stinger(same creator, Shinya Nishigaki) were going to get original Xbox ports, but those fell through and soon after Nishigaki passed away. Super sad story behind Climax Graphics/Crazy Games. Theres a very interesting interview with the creator before he passed talking about how Illbleed was set up for failure due to several terrible circumstances involving publishing rights and the dreamcast being discontinued.

2:10 So crazy, I remember playing this in the arcades maybe 25 years ago or so! As soon as I saw the graphics I recognized it, it's a fighting game but with robots. Now I'm going to watch the endings because I could never beat the final boss.

I have all the DC titles in the video except from Illbleed. Such a great system. Also some of the really expensive titles not mentioned in this video is Taxi 2: Le Jeu (released exclusively in France only), Moho, Sega Bass Fishing with the Fishing Rod controller in PAL box, Evil Twin 2 and Samba de Amigo 2 with the macarenas controller in box.

I once had the Blockbuster exclusive edition of Sonic Adventure with the bonus disc but I later sold it for the GameCube port. Big mistake. That is a terrible version and my old copy now goes for over $200 on eBay. It's my biggest selling regret.

When gamestop started reselling used Dc games five yrs ago I bought Illbleed,PowerStone2,Giga Wing 2,Project Justice even CANNON SPIKE. They came CIB for around only 60 bucks each! Such a score🥵+Techromancer (disc only),Mars Matrix (disc only)Skies Of Arcadia(cib)too.GameStop gets such a bad wrap but not in my experience buying retro disc games. I'd love to see a Skies of Arcadia Legends Let's play 🍿🙌

Wow, I feel fortunate to have like half of the games on this list, including Cannon Spike. Glad I got those years ago, but even then, I can forget about completing my collection, which only stands at about 110 games (about 125 if you include the Japanese games). Holy cow, I can still remember when several of those games were still under $100!!!! Stupid me for not buying GigaWing 2 and Power Stone 2 back when they were both going for about $70-80, lol.

Small problem. The footage you used for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is the PS1 version, which has some fairly notable different from the Dreamcast version. Certain story sequences from PS1 are absent in the more arcade faithful Dreamcast port, as Playstation got a Super Story Mode. Dreamcast got Jojo's Venture and Heritage for the Future on a single disk, has something called Alessi Mode, and it has a LOT less loading between fights.

Ahhh, Bangai-O... Dammit. I started collecting Dreamcast and rebuilding my library as early '05, but there was still a bunch of stuff I skipped or didn't know about. I'd love to play it some day on actual hardware, but not paying 2021 prices. A game like Cannon Spike isn't worth anymore than $20 for what you get out of it. I can't believe the prices people pay.

I have every game mentioned as well as the Japanese counter parts. I brought them in 2004 and beyond I went back and forth to japan as well for work. the games were only 2-5 bucks in Shinjuku now closed that had 5 levels.

I can't remember that mode in Jojo on the Dreamcast for the life of me. After having watched a bunch of youtube video's I'm pretty sure that's because it doesn't have it, it's only in the PS1 version. I think, at least, because I've never played the PS1 version.

You're absolutely correct. The DC version of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is the best port of the arcade version and the mode you refer to is a "Super Story mode" of the whole manga which is NOT available on the Dreamcast release. Even the footage used in this video is from the PS 1 version.

The jojo game you mention is the psx version unfortunately, the dreamcast version was a perfect port of the two arcade games and not had the psx’s story mode. This not throw the idea of the Jojo game for dreamcast is very expensive nowadays.

Of these, I have - Skies of Arcadia - Tech Romancer - Power Stone 2 - Marvel vs Capcom 2 - Illbleed - Project Justice I bought Cannon Spike when it was new. Played through it in a night with my brother, dismissed it as the most mediocre thing ever, and traded it in for something else. Regretting that now. And regretting not ever being interested in JoJo when it was dirt cheap and nobody cared about it. Was never a shmup guy, so lacking those doesn't hurt me. Though Giga Wing 2 does have some nice graphics. Six outta ten ain't bad, I guess. Dream On.

I love playing Jojo, it's one of those fighting games that feel really good to control and play. But to call its story "incredible" is a massive stretch! I'm not familiar with the manga/anime, and it all felt like a bunch of jumbled together, unrelated events with characters that aren't properly introduced or explained at all. I've gone through the story many times and I still have no idea what the hell is going on in that game, haha!

If you watch the anime it's pretty good. It's just good bc it's faithful to the characters in the show and each stage is willing to change genres to better convey the events in the show. I'd honestly say it's the best story mode in a fighting game besides maybe skull girls, but for different reasons. Everything else feels kinda the same, especially the popular ones like mortal kombat and soul caliber

I had a choice to choose between Tech Romancer or Virtual On 2. I chosed Tech Romancer. And I regretted it. The game sucked ass. I sold it. Crazy how crap games can become a rarity and expensive. I have no regrets about selling Tech Romancer.
