Ring of Red is a piece of art. The design of and the way the machines move is so very memorable and impactful. Its one of the most artistically strong games on the Playstation 2. Art direction trumps graphics every time.

@@budyll1 I personally like his way of doing commentary, it’s true he lacks enthusiasm in his voice, but enthusiasm in youtube videos is often fake and dare I say cringe. I prefer a more deep narrator-like voice and he comes close enough, or at least he tries. 1000x times better than a fake overly excited commentary with a voice that seems to come out of a children’s cartoon

Woah, that Ghost in the Shell game was unexpected. Quality Japanese games don't get by me easily, but that definitely went under my radar. Gameplay reminds me a little of Vanquish on the Xbox360/PS3, being a third person shooter combined with mobility options and melee attacks that feel more like they belong in a character action game like DMC or Ninja Gaiden. I've associated Japanese third person shooters most strongly with the 7th gen systems, so finding one that is new to me on the PS2 is a bit of a shock! Normally with videos like this, I don't find anything that I wasn't already aware of, so it was a nice change of pace. One of my PS2 favourites that happens to be practically unknown is Reveal Fantasia, although never being released outside of Japan doesn't do it any favours. Thanks for the video, I'll make sure to check out some of your others soon!

Red Faction 1 is my favorite of the franchise. Wish it would get a current consoles and pc remake/Remaster. Unfortunately, Volition doesn't make games like that now. Sane for The Punisher 2005, also on PS2. Winback is an interesting 3rd person action game. The PS2 version is definitely the way to play as it has better graphics and hilarious voice acting unlike the n64 version. Maybe check out Killswitch as well. A game like Oni today could be legendary if done right. Bungie doesn't make games I care for now. Ever play Delta Force Black Hawk Down on PS2?

I know it's not entirely alright to suggest but with currently the video game market is in a bubble, I would recommends a flash cart if you're not too keen on spending a lot of money. I despise what is currently going on, a speculative market with people buying retro games with the sole purpose of reselling them later. At least win back is cheap haha Edit: if you wanna know more Karl jobst has a couple very detailed videos about the price manipulation going on, with a video game "grading" service and a video game auction house working together to drive up the price of games.

@@SECONDQUEST Lol you’re crazy if you think WATA has anything to do with why any game in this video commands a certain price. Their service and any unethical behavior has not made a significant impact in the used games market. What has made a significant impact are things like people growing up and getting disposable income, popularity of YT channels like this one, lockdowns, etc.

I speak only for myself but to get back to a pre-8th gen title it has to be pretty special, or of an arcady nature.
