All this time I thought the song was about self degradation and self hate. I can FINALLY see it as a song about freedom! This is so great!

It's a professional, approved remix but it was also on a demo album so it is considered both.

Epic song. I love this one. It would've been great on the album. It sucks that they didn't get to really use some of those hard hitting songs on Fallen. They have great music on Fallen, but when you hear some of these, you just have to wonder what was going through the producers and Wind-Ups minds. There is so much feeling and reality in a lot of the other music. I love all their music. Evanescence, with every line up, will always have a place in my heart and soul for my love of music. Thank you for posting and making such good lyric videos, and keeping the masses informed. Forever Rock On!

So Awesome. If this was the original demo they stuffed up the Tune in later remixes. Amy Lee's singing is awesome. I can't stop hearing it in my head for the last week

Go to evanescencereference (dot) info and click on the link called songs. Then, pick any of their demo songs you want and click on the link to it. Once you're on the page for that song, clink on the download link. It'll take you to a spot where you can click on whichever version you want (that is if ther're multiple versions) and you should be able to figure out the rest lol

Why do I relate it to religion??
@DeadGameDespair8 жыл бұрын
Sergio Amigo Same reason I relate Stillborn by Black Label Society to religion? Because it makes sense.
@just.a.guy5227 жыл бұрын
"Bind my limbs with fear, choke me with tears" refers to the fact that religion uses fear to control people. "I won't die for you" refers to the deathless death. "You've been here before, then come back for more, not this time" probably refers to the same story being repeated; Jesus, Mohammed, other gods/messiahs etc. "You'll never be strong enough", maybe to mind control people "You'll never be good enough", ditto. "You were never conceived in love" refers to the fact that all religions are filled with hate "You will not rise above", obvious. "Somebody tell me what made us all believe you, I should've known all along it was all a lie", this part is clear, it talks about religion itself. "Now I know the truth, I'm though fearing you" refers to when someone stops believing, but is still afraid that there is a god and will punish him/her "I am free" refers to being free of religion
@saestrol13717 жыл бұрын
I disagree, I feel like It refers to Satan. For example "Somebody tell me what made us all believe you" - refers to satan's manipulation ("you'll never be strong enough, you'll never be good enough, you were never conceived enough, you will not rise above") You can even look at the original one : "sealed with lies through so many tears" - also refers to Satan manipulating you with lies, putting you down and making you feel worthless. "But through my tears breaks the blinding light, birthing the dawn to this endless night" - refers to Christ freeing you from Satan's tyranny. "I will never forsake you" - also refers to Christ not letting you fall.
@kieran63155 жыл бұрын
Funny, because that which you ascribe to satan are all things religion told me. "You'll never be strong enough, you'll never be good enough, you were never conceived enough, you will not rise above" are things that the church told me, in different words. Evanescence music was the only thing that kept me sane until I broke the chains of the church and began to finally heal.

This is all referring to Satan, not religion.@@just.a.guy522
