A better way to say it is we should be him within our own means. He has a lot of money, and makes a lot of money. To his credit he does good with it, but not everyone is in that position. We should, however, give what we are able to, whether it's time or money.

That’s Latin America for you. They see money and they crawl from under rocks like:”Hey you forgot me, and my uncle, and my cousin, my tia Juanita is sick at home, she lost her third foot this year, my baby is sick he got paralyzed by a lightning lats week.” Some even shed tears and all, they use kids to make people feel bad for them, they exploit their children for sympathy. You’ll find them on stop lights holding children under the sun to make people feel bad and give them money. All while being able bodied and healthy, they just don’t want you work. You offer them a job, they make up excuses and say they could use they money instead.

I used to work in an engine factory in Canada and our company had three locations, the one in Canada, one in the USA, and one in Juárez Mexico, we used to do fundraisers for charity and the three locations would compete for the most money raised, even though the salaries in Mexico was far less they would alway win by at least double, the USA location would come in second and Canada always raised the least amount by quite a lot. I always respected the Mexicans felt the need to give back even though they had far less to give, they always gave more

It was a pretty fast and out of the blue approach for some to take it in, or just here’s for you, for you, and you. Also, the majority of ppl in Mexico, despite being poor own their homes. So they’re usually not stressing over rent and utility bills and food like in the U.S. It’s things like clothes and private health care, toys and eating out that are a luxury to the poor there. Also keep in mind 1,000 pesos is like 50 dollars. So it’s not like he was handing out 1-2k dollars per individual. Hope that gives you a different perspective.

I also love this. I live in the second biggest city in my state and the majority is actually Hispanic. I am white and I have had best friends, coworkers, and classmates that have been some of my closest and favorite people. they all are very family driven and are some of the nicest folk that have been in my life. hanging out with them is like a brother I never had. I would never of had a growing up period as happy if it weren't for them. undoubtedly the most hardworking and compassionate people you could ask for. I feel more comfortable at my friends Mexican bday party for his cousin then I did at any party in college filled with white people like me. Immigrants are the most authentic people to have in your presence, and this country is literally just a timeline of different immigrants, so I find it distasteful for the weirdos that get mad at immigrants like their own grandpa didn't walk right off a ship and start a new life here.
