@@DineshKumar-gy7dp why an se young ?? Chen Yu Fei , Yamaguchi and Intanon also have been in top since age of 17/18/19. And they're more successful than An Seyoung 's age of 20 even if we compare thier results at age of 20. So better give examples of more worthy players.

@@lussie8547 Yes it is true that Yamaguchi and Chen Yufei is already great in young age, but in that moment they're still have another competitor in their country, There still Okuhara and Takahashi from JPN, and many2 great WS player from CHN. But ASY was the only one KOR have and she already have many title in such a young age, including the 2021 World Tour Finals, Indonesia Open S1000, being the first WS in a group competition and dont forget the 2022 Uber Cup title for KOR, ASY already being the top WS in her country since she was 18. Whay my point is, Chen and Yamaguchi are great in that age but there still other players or their senior that also still succesful that time, so kinda make them not being the first top WS in the country.

@@jourdainefelix9238 you giving me Takahashi as example of player who was succeeding 😂...hahaha. well, my point is Comparing Chen/Yamaguchi &Intanon results at ages - 16-20 and An SY Results at ages 16-20, The first 3 have did more better. You are telling me about An Se Young's INA Open victory and WTF victory at aged 19 but that does makes any difference for Chen, Yamaguchi & Intanon's achievements at that age. Basically My point is that instead of inserting ASY as child prodigy everywhere , people should not forget the old child prodigies who have come true to their expectations

The dull, drilled, robot-like Chinese players, unduly indoctrinated and mentally pressured by the burdens of nationalism and utilitarianism typical of Chinese athletes in an abnormal political and social environment devoid of humanism and universal values, evidently lacked the briskness and innocence characteristic of their young age. Pity for them! Incidentally, the one that Tomoka encountered before the Final, whose last name seemed to be Sun, a giant as a female player of her age at about 6-foot in stature, looked pretty large and intimidating in appearance. So what?! The agility and adeptness of our Tomoka roundly defeated the rumbling Chinese Goliath with ease and dexterity. As a matter of fact, at the awarding ceremony in the wake of the final match, when the four players (one gold medalist, one silver medalist, and two bronze medalists) were all standing abreast on the podium, the Chinese player Yuan i.e. the silver medalist was the only one showing an unsmiling poker face. Poor kid! Must be too much pressure from shouldering the heavy national pride and excessive expectations from her coach and families who were all relying on her performance in the Final for promotion and monetary gains. That is the cruel reality in China where competitive sports have no elements of fun but are only a tool for national glory and personal advancement under its particular and pathetic political, ideological, cultural, and social conditions.
