Even if you're not actually going to do your project on the 1:1 server, I'm sure you've made it far easier for other builders to recreate Toronto in that server by enabling them to draw inspiration from your world. Keep doing you, because I think you're still helping the effort.

I have done a couple of Toronto’s city blocks with a different texture pack and this definitely helps clear up how some areas are built. It isn’t as detailed as mine or to the same scale but it is definitely impressive given its size.

I have a professional city building team and we’re planning on joining the project along with building New York & Los Angeles (where we are based) however we face the same problem as you, instead it’s much larger, We build on bedrock. 💀

Upon hindsight, I know I was the one of a few who planted the seeds of the idea, but little did I know that the 1 to 1 World Project would be that inaccessible to the general community, like whoa!

It's certainly the *easiest* to install having in mind the scale of the projetc, no alternative would have been easierz they have made it very straoghtforward to get going into building, and chances are that if you are going to commit to the project by actually adding 3/4 buildings spending 12hours you're not gonna mind spending like 15min on installing a modpack that takes 2 clicks via twitch, it's literally as easy as it can get. Because there's no way to do this without mods, because if we did this without mods everyone would have to download the default map which would be the ENTIRE EARTH and that's justthe begining, tell me how you'd get to the 8000m of the himalaya with the 256 block height limit and still call it a 1:1 replica, hell not justthe talles building but just one of the thousands of buildings across the world that are taller than 256m. The person who made this video is totally right, they've made it the easiest posible for a project of this size.
@Gamefruitpulp4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the well thought out comment. The real unfortunate part of this is that mods are needed to do this, the build limit should just be higher.

Hello, I just happened upon your vids (and subscribed) but before I go back and binge all your vids, I have a quick question. I noticed really really cool street signs (like the Wellington one). I was just very curious how you did that. Thanks and good job I love Toronto and am hoping to see the CN tower and the Royal York. Thanks!
@Gamefruitpulp4 жыл бұрын
The street signs are made by creating maps over an area where the street signs are created on the ground! The Fairmont is finished and there is a couple videos featuring it! The CN tower is still to come!

@@Gamefruitpulp Thanks so much for the quick response. The city looks great in the vids so far. I am pretty new to Minecraft and haven't ventured out of my world yet (to other servers) but yours looks pretty simple to come see, and maybe I will get the courage to venture out of my comfortable surroundings. :)

I have a question, in the future will you be building the schools that are in Toronto? If you do this than most of the kids who have minecraft would start joining your world and helping you build the city. Please consider what i am asking you. Building he schools will be really cool. Hope you see this comment.

I understand the reasons given to not migrate your project to the build the earth project. But would you consider giving a world download to BTE builders in order to speed up the Toronto building?
@Gamefruitpulp4 жыл бұрын
Right now we aren't considering a download of the project but the map is hosted on a public server so anyone is able to come look for inspiration, I just ask that any bte builders try their best to not copy things block for block
@Mister0Eel4 жыл бұрын
@@Gamefruitpulp can I ask why, obviously giving proper credit is important, but if you assume that people do that, where is the downside? Not trying to sound aggressive, juat wondering

If proper credit is given then that's fine! I just don't want people copying our builds and claiming them as their own! Hope that makes sense 😊
