This is awesome. Hearing from an actual grader helps make sense of the thoughts behind a grade. Fake, real or oops. Great stuff! CSG doing great things. Making all the right moves. Great video. Keep up the great work!

Could you provide in the description the loupe specifications that he recommended during the video? I couldn't quite make out some of what he was saying. Thanks.

He said look for a 10x triplet. I’m going to get one as well when I get the chance

Andy is the man! I've read so many of his articles. This was a great video.

I've been reading and seeing videos with him. He made me a believer in CSG. I'm sending the majority of my cards to them now. Even my magazines to get graded. IMO, CSG will surpass SGC & Beckett within the next year.

Great video Ryan. I learned that I am glad I don’t collect modern cards. I’ll stick to vintage and my plastic coins!

@wayneadler34512 жыл бұрын
Andy mentions 10x towards the end of the video.

One thing that I learned is,...... The graders are working with 10 times magnification for card grading.
@BreakoutCards2 жыл бұрын
I had no idea the magnification used

I have a bout five cards I would love for you to take a look at a 53 Mickey Mantle Roberto Clemente Wilt Chamberlain Oscar Bob Gibson etc. etc.

Collectors (lol investors) today are too busy looking for “comps” on their phones so obviously it would never occur to them to unsleeve a prospective card and closely examine it using a rudimentary magnifying device of some kind.

I don’t deal with vintage at all but no chance I’d let someone stand in front of my table inspecting cards with a loupe

Red flag
@305CardCollector2 жыл бұрын
@@masterbob100 red flag? You think letting people stand in front of my table and examine my ultra modern cards with a loupe for an extended period of time is a good business idea? I’d literally laugh in your face if you pulled out a loupe to examine a 2019 card lol
@masterbob1002 жыл бұрын
@@305CardCollector I was thinking you were talking about vintage. I would laugh too if it was a modern card.

Fantasy cards, I will not buy unless I want an image for TTM. No sense in supporting people with out authority to print MLB logos.

Not to hijack your video but is it ok to do this to cards? I've seen a lot of your fakes and trimmed card videos and was wonder if what he does to the corners is frown upon? it's in the 2nd half of the video kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZrclaOhq9hjm6c thanks!
